On Sportsbook.com Ron Paul and Mitt Romney have the same odds of winning the election at 8-1.
It is clear to me that both these candidates get different treatment and they both have the same odds of winning.
Please tell me some of the groups that stand to lose if Ron Paul is elected and who is behind the bias?

Here's something I just thought of. Governments—orders of rule—today, from the beginnings of civilization, and even before were run by power-hungry, greedy, evil people who made themselves greater at another's expense, detriment, or demise.

All of them. Not one is left out. Bloodshed is plentiful on each civilization's hands. Lives were ruined and destroyed from continent to continent, ocean to ocean, all in the lust for might.

Knowing this, isn't it an impossibility that moral people, people who care and love and seek to uphold and uplift their fellow human beings, fit into governmental organizations?

Power corrupts and it is inevitable with a selfish species like humankind. The trade is rich with liars, manipulators, and cruelty.
So aren't we just hoping on the impossible? Do moral people belong in government? Should that even be expected?

Do you think one day you will wake up to find you are just another statistic of a company that moved it's shop to Mexico because it's workers are greedy? GM, Ford, Chrysler can't move to Mexico quick enough. Toyota can't build factories in the US quick enough.....hmmmmm think about it..

The apartment I am looking into allows pets, but they charge outrageous deposits and extra rent per month. I have two cats. I am wondering if when I sign the lease I say I don't have pets to avoid paying the deposit and extra rent. It's an apartment complex run by a corporation so the only people coming into my apartment will be maintenance and how are they supposed to know I said I don't have pets on my lease? Will this work? Anyone get away with it before?

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Right away, if we're created in the image & likeness of these beings, & we were created male & female, these beings must be male & female too. Who are these beings that we look like? are they mentioned in the Bible? I think so

Rev 4:4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

The drinking age is 21.......Why is is so high? Im an 18 year old college freshmen and the reasons i drink vodka and beer every weekend are because i love to get buzzed, and because i want to break the so called legal drinking age....The highest legal drinking age in the world i might add...every other country is 18, or lower...maybe all the fun would be taken out of drinking if the age was lowered...

I am in the process of planning the guest list for my wedding. My fiance and I have differing opinions on who should be invited and who should not. He believes that if someone is 'family' that they should automatically get an invite. I disagree. He has a 3rd. cousin that neither one of us is fond of whatsoever. We and this individual have clashed before. I believe that if neither one of us would enjoy their presence at our wedding, why should we invite them?

He on the other hand sticks to his belief that "They are family, so they must get invited." What do you think?

My mother will begin working but unlike most people she is simply going to get a check of about 500 per month from her employer. No taxes will be taken out, no fica, no social security.. just straight 500 gross pay.

I know she will have to file a tax return at the end of the year with IRS but that would only be for federal and state tax..

But my question is:

Will she be forced to pay medicare, fica, social security on her own or can she not pay that?

I assume this is kind of like being self employed in that you do have the option to pay social security, fica, etc but you do not have to by law?

my husband and i get caught up in the daily grind from time to time, but when we do, as soon as one of us realizes it, we take time out, get a sitter and have a night out together!

it helps us reconnect and forget about all the other stuff that consume our minds on a daily basis.

so, do you think that this is something people forget to do??
do you think it could help most of the people on here with marriage problems??
does dating your spouse/partner help keep your relationship alive and thriving??

My family has some interest in some property. The interest is divided as follows:

1/24 x 7/8 = .03645833 - $1455 appraised value my share
1/24 x 1/8 = .00520330 - $2358 appraised value rest of family's share
$3813 Total appraised value
The ownership is changing as follows:

1/24 x 1/4 = .01041667 for my share
1/24 x 3/4 = .03125000 rest of family's share
I need to reapportion the total appraisal of $3813 among the new figures. Can you give me the correct calculation, not just the answer? I have been pretty sick lately and can't seem to work this out in my head the right way.
