I see so many people on television saying that we should not but I see so many people die from illnesses that could be prevented if they were covered.

Would you still believe it if you weren't educated in believing in a Superior Being? How would you then be aware of its existence or non-existence? Now I got you.

About a year ago, my dog had a reaction to an insect sting or bite (probably yellow-jacket or wasp). His head and ears swelled up and we panicked and ran him to the vet. It turned out not to be serious (fortunately) and the vet gave him a shot of antihistimine and a shot of a steroid. The swelling went down almost immediately and by the next day he was absolutely fine.

The vet told us to keep some Benadryl on hand and give it to him if something like that happened again, so I do have it. He also said that if the swelling subsides and the dog seems okay, there's no need to bring him in. My question is ... is it safe to give a single dose of Benadryl in that situation, before (or instead of) consulting a vet?

I was just curious to find out if most, if not all, liberals/democrats believed in the theory of evolution?

This is an honest question. I'm not looking for slams from other sides.

It may have been a wonderful symbol of reconcilation from the Arab world that might signal a much-needed end of the so-called "Islamist" jihad against America and our endless war on terrorism too . . .

okay so in P.E. every Friday we swim laps, and now that its fall its starting to get really cold. I have P.E. first period so its really really cold and at the beginning of the year she said we will only swim til like october. Last Friday it rained so we didnt swim but we still had to get dressed out and play volleyball- which was fine. But these like 6 girls in my class didnt get dressed out and my P.E. teacher got pissed and she was like "OKAY IF YOU GUYS AREN'T GOING TO GET DRESSED OUT WE ARE SWIMMING EVERY FRIDAY NO MATTER HOW THE WEATHER IS" so now because of them we have to swim in an unheated pool in the morning while its freezing. its really annoying having to be wet the whole day when its cold since i have it first.

isnt that unfair that we ALL have to swim now just because of 6 girls? how do i get out of it? I really hate swimming and i was dressed and did what she said? should i talk to her? (shes can be kinda scary) please help. i dont really think thats fair...

So, I know this question has been answered a ton, but I'm gonna ask it again. I'm heading into my 3rd year of college next year, and I'll need a good laptop. I'll primarily be using for word processing, my iPod, digital pictures and pretty basic stuff. I want to keep it under $1000 and not have the memory filled up within five days. I like Dells, cuz they're cheap, and my Dell PC works well. I thought about the 1502 in Jet Black, or the Apple laptop in black (I want black to match my RAZR2 (when I finally get one), iPod, and digital camera-not a must, but I like to coordinate), but I hear more bad things than good about Apple. So I'm confused. I just don't know what will do best for me. I really would rather stick with Dell or Apple, or possibly some other name brand. Thanks!

I'm too scared to live my life & I don't even know how to live it ...

I'm laying here trying to sleep, but my brain keeps comparing myself to this girl I barely know in nyc who has EVERYTHING I want ... i'm 19, quiet, never had a relationship (not that i realllly care about that), mainly i just feel like I'm just really negative & don't care about other people or ANYTHING ... I shut myself out from everything ...

The thing is, i LOOK normal ... im not scary looking/emo...

& i'm in college now .. and ive only made a couple friends blaaaa. I spent my entire time in highschool hiding [really insecure, didnt fit in, didnt WANT to fit in, got depressed from having no friends .. had no friends because i was depressed .. oh woeeee is me ... ],

and now i feel like i have to play a ridiculously hard game of catch-up ... finding out who i want to be / what my personality is / how to make friends / what i believe in.

I'm sick of this.

Anyone have similar experiences?

"To every young person who honors the old, on account of their age, may god apoint those who shall honor him in his years.

Verily, to honor an old one is showing respect to God."

One day Jesus was walking by the pearly gates when Saint Peter asked him to watch the gates for a few minutes. Jesus agreed and a few minutes later, he saw an old, old man approach. He walked very slowly, had a halting gait, and long white hair and beard. "How did you spend your life on Earth, my son?" asked Jesus. "I was a simple carpenter for sixty years," replied the old man. "And what do you hope to find here in heaven?" asked Jesus. "I hope to find my son," said the man. "Well, there are millions upon millions of people here. How will you find him?" "I'll recognize him by the nail holes in his hands and feet," nods the old man. Jesus does a double take, thinks for a moment, and whispers, "Father?" The old man looks at Jesus, stretches out his withered arms and says, "Pinocchio?"

I don't eat pork because pigs are filthy animals. My real issue is that why do fast food chains such as McDonald's only make breakfast sandwiches with sausage patties and not with beef patties. Beef tastes much better than pork in my opinion. So why can't I get a Beef McMuffin?

No strings attached & risk STD's? I'd fear a disease before I fear commitment in a relationship. & why is it that even when a guy is looking for a 1-night stand & cheating on his wife, the other girl has to look so perfect & flawless-model style, but the guy himself can look like trash? You want a PERFECT-looking girl for ONE night! & you know you don't wanna be in a relationship with her nor get her pregnant, even though there is a chance of pregnancy & STD's. & you just run free. I think beauty is SACRED & if you want a hottie, then why don't you settle down with her & marry HER? If your current wife is such a bad person, then why did you marry her in the 1st place? (I'm not saying "you" specifically. I mean guys in general) But I know not all guys are like that.
