I've had a water infection for a few days, I don't get them very often but I've been drinking lots of water & cranberry juice, not having sex etc but today I've had lots of pain in my lower back, almost like a stabbing pain.
I had the same thing about a year ago when I had a water infection but that only lasted a day, when I went to bed I was in a lot of pain but was fine the next morning. What could this be and is it anything to worry about?

Over on the freakanomics blog we've been debating clotheslines. Apparently some communities forbid them because they look "trashy" and people are concerned they'll see someone else's underwear.

What say you? Are clotheslines embarrassing and/or trashy?

I have to say that my credit score is acceptable (635) but my husband doesn't have any SS number and of course no credit.
So, I think that's the reason this interest rate is kind of high.

WHat do you think?

Should we buy a home now or wait?

It's strange it's easier to resolve an issue if I talk outloud to myself. I sometimes do it when my dogs around so if someone sees me they will not think I'm crazy.

In the movie "Mommie Dearest" which most of us know ( & love) Joan Crawford is shown using ice cubes as part of her rigorous skin care regimen. I notice others recommending it too.

Q)How many inches has the sea level risen so far?

A)Sea level in the last 100 years has risen about 7 inches and is projected to increase another 6 to 36 inches or so by 2100. The insidious thing is not so much the sea level rise, but the possibility of storm surges coupled with sea level rise. [6] The Netherlands spent $10 billion on raising the levels of their dikes after a 1959 storm caused ocean waves to overflow the dikes causing major floods. The money was spent to raise the height of the dikes from 20 to 30 feet. Being a little above sea level is not enough.

I'm not trying to be a pessimist, but talking from life experience here, this world is just TOO evil. IT really is, everything from discrimination, to hate, to competition, to people and their own human values which are pride, money, image, status, everything.

Simply living in this world will expose you to so much bs, and it's very hard to rise above, when the masses are either brainwashed, dumb, selfish, or living for themselves, and some which are out to get you.

Even tiny evils, such as residents in NYC trying to get you for every little thing such as parking violations, on purpose. IF people keep focusing on the small things, and are vengeful like that, they can easily get some "sucker" religious person who's not in tune to whats going on around him.

That's just a very small example. Evil intended people are everywhere, and some of them are very powerful.

This world feels like a stressed, nasty place, where anyone is vulnerable to danger.

What do we do?

A Nebraska farmer dies and, being a heathen, goes to Hell. When he gets there its 95 F with 90% humidity, but Satan notices he's kicked back on the brimstone relaxing comfortably.

He asks, "Why aren't you miserable like everyone else here?" The farmer replies, "Oh, this is like a warm spring day in central Nebraska . I like it." Angry, Satan turns up the thermostat until its 100 F and 95% humidity. Still, the farmer's happy. "This is like a good June day on the farm. Not bad at all."

Furious, Satan turns it up to 105 F and 99% humidity. Everyone is even more miserable, except the farmer still resting. "Hey, this is like a good August day on the farm bailing hay. Feels good, the hotter the better."

In a total rage, Satan turns the thermostat down to minus 25 F. Within seconds, the air becomes chilly and frost appears, soon followed by solid ice everywhere. Satan smirks, watching the farmer.

The confused farmer looks down at the frozen ground for a moment, suddenly jumps up excitedly, looks around everywhere and begins to laugh, scream, and jump for joy.

It's freaky! Last night, I bought the Monistat 3 day ovules. I used one before I went to bed. When I woke up this morning and went to the restroom, I noticed orange spots in my underwear. When I went to wipe, it was as if someone poured orange koolaid on the toilet paper and when I flushed, the urine was bright orange! I tried to think if it had anything to do with something I took or drank. I had a lot of cranberry juice before bed and I took a pill that keeps your urinary tract "healthy" so I'm thinking it could've been a reaction to that, however, I'm not sure and can't find anything on it. Any ideas? Thanks!
