All valid answers. I'll just add my 2 cents. Flea markets, so often in sections that sell imported CHEAP tools. Most ACE stores also have SALE bins with the same imported merchandise.

I want to assume you may have an issue with blind connectors and "Capture" Fittings. In which case if you cant find a Rubber Mallet; Tape a kitchen sponge, or piece of foam to the head of a hammer.

I love that your cousin out a rubber mallet on her registry and that you are giving to her -- that is fantastic and I got a good laugh out of it. 1) So you can smash the gifts you don't like (kind of mean, though) 2) So you can smash things 3) So you can smash the boxes that the gifts came in so they can fit in the recycling can 4) So you can smash your lamp that you've have since the third grade 5) So you can smash a box of graham crackers up so you can make a cheese cake for your new inlaws 5) So you can smash things

Most hardware stores sale them. I know that Home Depot, Lowes, places like that do, maybe even Truevalue or an Ace Hardware.
