I was reading some other questions/answers on here, and people talked about having a heartworm test done on their dogs before being prescribed preventative. It got me thinking... and I dont think the vet ever gave my dog a heartworm test before giving me Heartguard for her. There was never any mention of the test, and from what I have seen online, the test is done by blood sample and the only time she had blood drawn was when they were seeing if she was ok to go under when she got spayed at 6 months.

I also read online that if heartworm infection is uncommon in your area, they often do not test for it. Is this true?

If not, how much does the test usually cost so I can have it done when I take her to the vet?

Towards the end of the 1960's jazz record sales were way down and clubs were closing all over the country.

Rock was taking over, do you think that the musicians created fusion to have an audience, so that they could continue playing music? It seems that they could not contunue playing jazz and still make a living.

i have been perusing the questions today, and although it seems obvious to me that harry potter is just a book, fictional, imaginative, enjoyable, and has morals, there are some frankly strange people who have banned their children from reading the books or watching the films.
have any of these people ever seen wizard of oz? read enid blyton? etc

why do they think harry potter is so evil?!
i know they will mention witches and they think we all go round eating babies and drinking goats blood, but are they that naive that they think reading a fictional tale can actually harm their children?

*sigh*

i have to admit i am becoming rather exasperated by it all, and i have a very patient nature!

so, please explain, what will reading the books and/or watching the films ACTUALLY do to christian children?

many thanks in advance for coherent and non-insulting answers - i am curious and wish to be 'educated' :)

I am sure it has made Him very sad to see and here all the hate and fighting in his name throughout the centuries up to the present. Fighting and hate were not his message. People who do this in his name are/were not true followers. His message was/is of hope, love, kindness, acceptance and forgivness. That should be the Chritians' message to the world today.

Can most of us agree on this one?

My husband and I currently live in a nice apartment division. We pay $500 a month plus electricity, water/sewage, satellite, telephone/internet and other personal bills. We both have bad credit, see, I had bought a home but it was foreclosed due to our seperation at that time.We are back together now and are trying to decide and/or find a solution as to what we can do.We were told that we cannot buy a home unless someone with good credit buys it under his/her name and then we can refinance and have it transferred into our name after we can support it.Also, I have a 95 Isuzu Rodeo and have paid it off and have thought of trying to find a minivan, as we do have two boys and would like to find a newer car with less mileage on it.Should I keep this car or try to go ahead and find a newer one? Also, should we even try to find the way to get into a house again? I mean, you know, we need more space and etc. Please suggest

I have a 15 month old son and he hasnt really started talking yet. He can say 'dada' when his father is around and he says 'ta' for thank-you and he has said 'toast' a few times but that's it.
When did your children start making sentences?

I have been with my husband for 12 years and last night he made a strange request. I'm on my period and last night he asked if he could rub on my butt while he pleased himself. It felt a little strange and flattering at the same time. Has anyone elses husband ever done this? If your husband did ask would you let him and how would you feel about it?

Hi

My partners mum and dad are in their 60's, they had him old, he is 27. My 2.5yr old daughter is looked after by them on a Monday whilst I work.

Its started off with them refusing to use the car seat we provided and kept bringing her home/taking her shopping in just the carrycot part of her pram balanced on the back seat in his dads car.

Then its progressed since shes older with them eventually getting a booster seat for ages 4-11yr olds and insisting she is ok to go in it as she is nearly 3!

They have the seatbelt across her lap but not over her shoulder, Ive commented on this many times, its been fight after fight with my partner to get them to use our carseat as he wont say anything, often saying its ok for her!

Im at my wits end. She has to go next Monday yet Im at odds if to say something again. Ive tried just leaving the carseat with them but they dont use it.

I need her help with childcare and she's a lovely grandparent otherwise so I dont want to offend!
