Consider a small block sitting atop a much more massive block. There is some friction between the two blocks (call it μ sub 0). However, the bottom block sits on a frictionless surface. Initially the two blocks are at rest. Someone then gives the top block a push until it begins moving at a speed. At this point no further external forces are applied.

We observe that the small block begins to slow down and the large block begins to speed up. Explain why this happens (what forces are responsible), and write down expressions for velocity versus time for the 2 blocks. Compare both forces and accelerations on the 2 blocks. Then find the time it takes before the 2 blocks reach the same speed relative to the ground.

for the $18 million per season they are paying him over the next 7 years, i'm not really sure he's putting up numbers that correspond to that salary level. I think the biggest problem is, Lou Piniella does not know where to bat Soriano in the line-up. Batting him lead off gets him hits and solo home runs, but not a lot of RBI's. As it stands now, on Sept . 20th, with 9 games left in the season, Soriano has played in 127 Games, 544 At Bats, 89 Runs, 159 Hits, 38 Doubles, 5 Triples, 28 HR's, 59 RBI's, and batting, .292. His numbers aren't terrible. But for a guy who they are basically making their franchise player and paying him all that money, I don't see 28 HR's and 59 RBI's as big numbers. I would've thought the Cubs wanted to see numbers more in the range of 40 HR - 120-130 RBI's. What happened to all of his RBI's? and HR's? Isn't Wrigley Field a hitters ballpark and Homer ballpark, look at all the HR hitters who played there, Ernie Banks, Sandberg, Sosa.

I am a cheer coach and am trying to pull together a black light pep rally. The pep rally will be in the gym which has all windows covered in black paper. There will be elementary children sitting on the floor by the outlets so I am trying to figure out how to set up the lights so that the cheerleaders and whoever else is performing will be "glowing." Well i'm currently in community college getting basics out the way but i don't know if I can go directly to Texas A&M. I have 28 credits and they only require 24 but all the classes I chose arn't under my major (blame my dad for that one). I have a 3.9 gpa at my community college and a decent high school transcript. Their deadline is march so i'd have to wait a whole year to apply again if i took some classes next spring. Do you think i can get in? Thanks in advance.

okay my problem is that my vagina on top carries like an arm odor on it not inside the vagina na inside it smells normal but its just on the top i shave the hair of but it still smells i have had a pap smear it came back neg i had and aids and hiv test it also came back neg i had a test for hepititas and pid i was tested for everything and it came back negative what can i use to help the smell i cant use powders or anything of the sort have a sensitive vagina.

I am watching her very closly due to the whole West Nile scares around our area; she does not show any symtems of having it. Does anyone have any advice on any home remides that can calm the itching. I have tried the store creams and nothing seems to help. I was thinking there has to be some good old home remeadies out there that work better. Please let me know. Or if you know of a specific cream that will work let me know. I have tried Aveeno along with 3 other itch creams, no luck so far.

Over the years, each and everytime an issue with blacks and whites come up, it is taken seriously and people pause and discuss their views of the situation.

THEN, Al 'Pantene Pro-V' Sharpton and Jesse 'Hymie Town' Jackson get involved and suddenly things change.

I really wish Sharpton and Jackson could just fade into obscurity.

Honestly, our races would get along MUCH BETTER if they weren't around stirring up so much trouble. We can handle the situations rationally and deal with race relations in a civilized manner better if we didn't have these two phonies making things worst than they already are.

I believe early in their careers they were legitimate and really cared about the issues, now it is all about money and fame.

**This question has little to do with the Jena 6. I am just really sick of Sharpton and Jackson.**
