I've spent 25 years pronouncing my surname (Roehmholdt) as rome-holt, but I've only recently found variations of my surname and traced it back to its various German forms, they are:

Röhmholdt
Rehmholdt
Röhmholt
Rehmholt

I'm trying to narrow down how my surname has changed since my ancestors came to the US from Germany. A Google search finds evidence of a "Röhmholdt", but I'd love to know the history of the surname. Cheers!

This is embarassing but whenever I like jump rope or run, I pee a little. What's wrong with me? I have been known to hold my urine for a very long time [like 10-12 hours] and yes, I have gotten sick for it. Does that affect why I pee whenever I do something physical?

I am really close friends with a Marine who is serving in Iraq. We have known eachother for almost ten years and were extremely close during his last vacation.

I write him letters, e-mails, and send cards all of the time. He very seldomly writes back, but he does read all of the things that I send. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why he doesn't write back often? It has been months at a time, but when he does write back, he writes very nice things.

My husband and I were involved in a lease to own situation. The other party backed out early and gave us a buy or lose. We were not ready and so, my mother in law helped us out. Her name is on the loan, but all the money (down payment) and the payments come from us. We really need to get this into our name. We don't have good credit and our down payment was taken when we purchased. We were told that we could get a "refinance" loan without having to purchase the house from the parents as we have been making the payments. I am not finding anyone who understands this thinking and I need help. We have an interest only adjustable rate first and regular fixed rate second but the rate is very high. I need to consolidate and take over both loans.

I am a creative person, but right now I have a "Creative Block" (same thing as writer's block). How can I get my "Creative Juices" flowing and come up with good ideas? I don't want ideas, I want to know how I can become more creative. I am starting to make some short comics, but just can't get any good ideas.

I thought she was talking about waxing or tweezering when I agreed she could have her eyebrows done. She meant piercing, and now she thinks I have gone back on my word and am making excuses.

Until she reaches the age where I legally have no choice, I would never give her permission to get facial piercings. Its not that I don't trust her to look after them or anything like that. Its that a lot of employers don't like them and I don't want to let her screw up her future.

Can you think of something I could offer her as a "sweetener"?

I don't know what other stuff to put in it to make it taste good. So far I've put bacon, brown sugar, and honey. What else should I put in there that goes with the ingredients I've already put in that will compliment it.

There has to be something I'm missing -- I researched this camera SO diligently before purchasing it, but I am so afraid to take it to any event of which I want pictures! Every picture I take comes out so shaky and blurry -- is there an internal stabilizer setting that I'm missing? She won't go to rehab, and i've been trying to help her but i dont know what to do anymore. I feel like i have been watching her die for so long, and i feel like a horrible friend for not being able to help her get over this addiction. i am always there for her when she needs me. Is it just making things worse by letting her know someones always gonna have her back when she's too drunk?
