This sounds odd, but when I was in University and needed to come up with an idea, I would have a shower. Something about the sound, the isolation, perhaps the lighting just made it into a perfect thinking environment for me.

you are quite creative after all! Put those short comics aside and grab a glass of real pineapple juice. Take small sips as you let your mind freely wander on everything under the sun but your short comics. Block your mind from wandering in that direction. Sometimes to unblock creative energies, you to block.
good luck

Look outside your window, it always works for me... i suddenly imagine stuff and i then get a rush of ideas, its normaly the random and weird things that make a good idea... especially for making comics, imagine the comic while your looking outside your window...
If that doesn't work try to close your eyes and just get your imagination flowing. I once had a teacher who told us to write a poem but no one was in the mood for writing one, so she tried to get our creative juices flowing by making all of us close our eyes and she spoke softly and she told us a calm and relaxing story which made us forget completely that we were still in the classroom... it was pretty amazing maybe you should try to "take yourself to another world"... soft, slow music might help..?

Creative Block is for a reason..it's like the dormant period before spring. The trees are not dead, but they are without life. This period of dormancy is important, because when it is over, the new life which springs forth is greater than ever before. Hang in there!

Use everyday life as a tool...People are naturally funny, and do stupid things. Whether its mixing up a word or walking into your childs room attempting to wake them up for school, and realizing you have been waking their feet for 5 min! ...My suggestion, is to ask "answers" to tell you a funny story about something that happen in their life, and run with a few of those.
Here is a short, cute one for ya...
My boyfriends son comes running up to me with tears running down his face. I ask him whats wrong and if he's ok. He keeps crying and explains to me that he had just fallen on the "cotton crete" (or concrete to others)
....you could try the few dramatic blocks of tears and concern, and then in a bubble of thought a floor of cotton with the child nuzzling up to it...??? just a thought
Hope you get past the block!

some comics own pets and find inspiration from them. Others have children and families from which they get ideas.
Spend some time somewhere and people watch, like at shopping centers, and amusement parks. Attend a family gathering.Good luck.

Checkout the competition. Search for flashkit (I think its www.flashkit.com). They have lots of flash animations, that may inspire you. You could even try downloading a trial of Adobe flash, maybe some new software to play with may inspire you. You could even try Yoga or just go for a long walk.
