We know that when clouds get fertilized, their negative charge is placed in the bottom of the cloud, near to the ground, so that it can be easily transfered to the earth. and we know that if we connect a charged obstacle to the earth, it will become neutral, giving electron from or sending it to the earth. So whats the explanation for this behavoiur??? I know that the earth is too big, but it doesnt satisfy me. It MUST have a known charge, + or -,how can it send or gain electron if its neutral???

A friend of mine never really does to well with women (although he is straight, not bad looking, has money etc.) and I think that the reason for this is that he appears to be gay on the surface. Kinda like a metro sexual type of thing. He is way thin (nothing bad about that perse) is a complete neat freak, does not like sports, beer and all of the "traditional" "manly" things. I think a lot of women are passing him by becuase they assume that he is gay!

I would like to see him find a nice woman some day and I don't think he is going to because women are thinking he is gay!

Okay, I have trouble with violent outbursts, anxiety and depression. I am able to function in society, but it causes me a lot of upset!

I don't trust myself with prescription medication (have a history of abusing them) but thought that I could maybe make two sets of herbal remedies (tea, tincture, capsules, whatever)... one, which I can take everyday to balence out my mood, and one which I can take when i'm feeling *really* stressed just to calm me down a bit.

What herbs combine best for these kinds of things, and which would work best for each remedy?

Thank you!

Emma

Fool the american people once shame on you? fool them twice through 1000 times and they will keep believing you like they are stuck in an apathetic fear inspired stupor?

Is this saying descriptive of politics in the USA today? what do you think? Agree? Disagree?

I'll first admit that this is homework, but I am not just looking for an answer, as I want to understand how to determine if the argument is considered valid, and why.

If an alien spaceship has landed, there should be a large circular depression in the field.

There is a large circular depression in the field. So the alien spaceship must have landed.

Now I know that when dealing with the "assumption words" (should and must), then it is said to be invalid, but then I get confused with deductive and inductive and don't know if they are the same as valid and invalid, and according to the book, I am looking to see if the argument is valid.

If any philosophy buffs really love your stuff, then please have a go at this...

Thanks

If a family member of the deceased inherits a property with a business on it, and the lease agreement with the deceased family member is not up yet (actually was renewed with the power of attorney, under original terms, AFTER the original owner died) is the the new owner obligated to follow it? (For example, rent staying the same for 30 years) The lease agreement mentions only the original owner, not the new owner.

Why do Republicans want it both ways? Why is Bill Clinton wagging the dog in 1998, but in 2007 Republicans want to say Bill Clinton didn't do enough on terrorism and fighting the Iraq problems?

I don't understand? Are they just being hypocritical?

My daughter is 5 and loves to dance, and we support that wholeheartedly. However, as parents, we realize that dance is only partial without music, and we have decided to let her play an instrument -- our problem is that both of us have had no music (well, my wife had some very basic piano lessons 30 years ago) training, and we have no idea how to let our kid choose an instrument.

I am thinking of bringing her to a music store to look at several instruments she can choose from, but some direction will be needed. And we cannot help, because we have no idea where to start her in music.

We would like her to be able to pick an instrument that she likes. Five yeas old is young, but the younger the better. But I also don't want to force her, too as it may do more damage than good.

Any suggestions on how to give her a choice of musical instruments?
