A Poet’s Lament

We ten thousand poets, pen in hand,
scream outward in anger with our might,
our words flow like blood upon the land
as ten thousand blinded by the light ---
while ten thousand lovers do no right.

With ten thousand muses from above,
each one involved in us making love,
us losing love, us forsaking love,
poets always seem to have it worse;
our broken hearts seeping endless verse.

As ten thousand souls, misunderstood,
in relationships we know that would
bruise us, bang us, slam us to the ground,
we thousand poets will soon be found
explaining pain to the world around.

With ten million single men out there,
ten million single women somewhere,
what would happen if we wisely chose
a good-hearted mate from one of those —
a returned love that we could share?

(I wrote this drivel, by the way.)

I watched it when it first started up in the 80s, and it actually had "music videos" up until about 1990-91. Then rap came out and I thought it would go away like disco did, but we who listen to actual music were not so lucky. Then the reality shows started, first with The Real World then all downhill from there, you will find some of the most pathtic people on these shows. MTV has created a culture of selfishness, envy, and greed that has been passed onto many children and young adults who have grown up watching this network. Im totally aganist any censorship of art and music, but the damage MTV has done along with our movie industries American Pie culture has made our youth lose its moral compass. Im not religious, I just understand whats right and wrong most of the time, and MTV is just wrong. The Osbournes show was just sad, Im a metalhead and this show sickened me. A great metal Icon brought to his knees in my mind by MTV and his greedy wife. My rants over.

hmm all my life ive used microsoft , all my family uses microsoft , all my schools use microsoft , but i was told that mac were really good at not getting froozen , so i now want a mac , and not only for that , since they have a good look , and really detailed softwares , and that astonishing new glassy look that looks really cool , I wanna buy one but im not sure. i wanna learn how to use them too , so what do u all think , should I ?

Last night we were having a party at my house. It was 10.30 and a few of us were in the garden, the music was playing but it wasn't over the top.
A neighbour and his brother, walked in through the back gate, carrying a hammer threatening me with it and also threatened to put my head through a window if we didn't keep it down because his disabled son was trying to sleep.

I managed to calm the situation without a fight, we turned the music down and went inside which we would have done if they had just asked nicely.

What are my rights in defending my property?
If i had beaten the crap out of him in my garden would i face any consequences?
If a friend had beaten the crap out of him on my property would we face any consequences?
If we called the police would they take our side?
What are the rules on parties and music and how late you can have them?

okay so i havent gotten serious with anyone for a while and i kind of want to keep it that way, since i got out of my last relationship my grades have gotten way better and ive just been able to stay more relaxed lol
to me relationships are so stressful and a lot of work, and i dont really want that right now..

so there are a few guys at school that i like and i guess ive been giving that vibe to them because i can tell they like me back and everything but i cant really help that, i mean im just going to act how i feel.. but theres this one guy lately that pretty seriously likes me, and i know he does like he always says that the highlight of his week was hanging out with me or what ever and he's way sweet, i totally like him.. but i dont want to get serious and so idk if i should just back off a little bit or what.. i do like him though and he knows it but i feel like im leading him on.. also i like other guys just as much as him. hmm so i really dont know what to do, we're..

If one argues a Christian, he is an Atheist. If one argues an Atheist, he is a Christian (or other). I find that to be very ignorant.

I'm wondering, as I just walked away from 2 Atheists questions I posed, why I am automatically "religious" for challenging them? I've never once stated I was, but I was already labeled and criticized for it. I merely asked Atheists for reasons they do stuff and the best I get is "I decided to." So cold...

His dog just had puppies a few days ago. She layed on one and it wasnt breathing untill my boyfriend squeezed some air into it with a small bulb syringe. Now the puppy is alive but she is always gasping for air and has to open its mouth to breath. Milk is constantly coming out of it's nose. What do we do? Is there something that would effect the way it breaths and how its food goes down?

I just got my credit report, it's not the worst score in the world, but it could use some tweaking. I read something in a book that stated:"...One reason our credit score was so low was that there was alot of outdated information... Accounts had been closed..."
I understand that anything over 7 years should drop off, but the book wasn't specific about if they were talking about just the negatives that need to go or the positives too? Would it be to my benefit to leave the positives, or request to have them deleted? ??? I know it sounds like a no-brainer; and that I should leave the paid in full stuff, but this whole credit thing seems backwards to me sometimes, you know, like it is better to have one revolving line of credit, etc...
