People who cannot contain their urges to harm (or kill) people repeatedly for no apparent reason are assumed to suffer from some mental illness. However, they may be more cruel than crazy, they may be choosing not to control their urges, they know right from wrong, they know exactly what they're doing, and they are definitely NOT insane, at least according to the consensus of most scholars (Samenow 2004). In such cases, they usually fall into one of three types that are typically considered aggravating circumstances in addition to their legal guilt -- antisocial personality disorder (APD), sociopath, or psychopath -- none of which are the same as insanity or psychosis. APD is the most common type, afflicting about 4% of the general population. Sociopaths are the second most common type, with the American Psychiatric Association estimating that 3% of all males in our society are sociopaths and Stout (2005) estimating 4% of the population. Psychopaths are rare, found in perhaps 1% of the population.
Antisocials come is all shapes and sizes, and psychologists consider the juvenile version of it to be a juvenile conduct disorder. The main characteristic of it is a complete and utter disregard for the rights of others and the rules of society. They seldom show anxiety and don't feel guilt. Although many people would hope that there's an effective treatment, there's really no effective treatment for them other than locking them up in a secure facility with such rigid rules that they cannot talk their way out. This type of person is extremely dangerous!

A psychopath is DANGEROUS, regardless of talents.... they lack the ability to distinguish right from wrong.

Sociopath -

Antisocial personality disorder (APD) is a psychiatric condition characterized by an individual's common disregard for social rules, norms, and cultural codes, as well as impulsive behavior, and indifference to the rights and feelings of others. Antisocial personality disorder is terminology used by the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, while the World Health Organization's ICD-10 refers to Dissocial personality disorder.

Err why the thumbs down? Would I get a thumbs up if I LIE and say these people make wonderful friends?

you are right he must be a sociopath- what does that mean?Must be learned to understand your question. It is said man is the most dangerous missile on this planet. How to understand a question is not given to all -let apart the reply which could be only distracting and off the rails. Then who understands a sociopath ? Then there is a very thin line of frontier dividing a sociopath from a mad man.If you go to the Avatars past and present you will see in them that element of sociopathology but they are not mad -people buy one thousand dollar ticket to listen ( and soon to forget all). All to know where that danger lies in the human.Has any of such sociopath come to a forum and answered questions carrying accpetable senses to readers and with out any pay ?
This question is distracting me too much.Regrets to offer unwanted information! It struck me because I edit the world social for some friend writers!Sorry!

I would say they could be very dangerous given the right situation.. Those type of individuals are able to easily fool most people since they have smarts and are very cunning and deceptive. If you think you see some traits in the person, stay clear of them. They could be of no serious threat to anyone for years, but eventually something or somebody may put them over the edge. You don't wanna be around when that happens..

whats up Joe, you're no longer a topic. i'm so fat that the individuals around me are possibly to have heart assaults. I by possibility ran right into a woman at a food market and released her into orbit. Who the hell makes use of butter to any extent further. Margarine is the element to do. this is crammed with transfats. this is going to clog your arteries and make you blow a gasket on the worst achievable time. Like in church. by using how, what's a end sign?

The most dangerous. Isolation and disaffection are a dangerous mix. Add a psychotic degree of motivation and intelligence and you have that which societies fear the most.
The terrorist who doesn't care a damn for anything but the destruction of his enemy. In fact, what we now refer to as 911.

19 individuals carried out 911. We try to kid ourselves that it was a bigger political group, but in reality who used who?
19 educated young men with nothing to lose....carried out 911.

Anyone can be as dangerous as one likes, multiskilled or inept, makes no difference. Depends on what you mean by dangerous, genocide? How dangerous do you want? The destruction of entire continents?
