Ok i have an access database that is used to run reports off extracts from excel. I import the extracts from the main db, and run macros in access on them to fill tables. I am getting data type conversion errors on a text field that holds a number because there are accidental letters in the field on some records. the excel sheet and the access database are set up for those fields to be text anyway, so why is access thinking they are all supposed to be numbers? any ideas?

i've been looking for a cheap car. cheap but that will last me a few years. My friend offered to sell me her mazda protege 1999. it's got 120,000. she would sell it for 2,000. it's got a new alternatoer but will soon need new struts.
I've always had hondas or toyotas. are mazdas good cars? 120,000 sounds like a lot ut my other cars lived well past that. could the mazda do the same.

Okay, I'm ready to make a 2nd Guys with Guitars mix - mainly because I realized that I completely skipped Steve Earle on the last one. Any recommendations? I tend to prefer acoustic.

My wife is frequently invited to "selling parties" where the hostess is sponsoring a company that comes in to sell stuff to those in attendance. The hostess receives credit for the sales and is able to buy stuff herself at a discount or free.

Should these be viewed as a business transaction in which one is free to simply decline if they are not interested in the merchandise being sold? Or is it a social event hosted by a friend in which the invitation should be accepted out of courtesy even if she has no interest in the product being sold?

She doesn't sponsor these things herself, so there's no issue of hypocrisy here (declining others' invitations then expecting them to come to hers) but doesn't want to hurt the feelings of her friends who hold these parties.

I met this guy online. We met at his place for the first time (stupid I know). We had a great time. He put me on his top friends for Myspace. This was Sunday. I have talked to him briefly Mon and Tues on AIM. No phone calls since then. And now there's nothing. No calls, no instant messages, no texts. He removed me from is top friends. Um what changed? I've barely talked to him since Sunday when all was fine (it's thurs) how could he have changed how he felt about me without talking to me? Any ideas? Thanks so much.

How many of you would like to reverse roles?

Men stay at home cooking, cleaning, and doing laundry while women work, pay the bills, and have poker night once a week.

Nevermind this new era where couples work together on all this, just want to know how many men and women would volunteer for this role reversal?

This is of course, the account of when Abraham was tested by the Lord concerning his son Isaac.

The Scriptures clearly show us that Abraham did not question or doubt God for a single moment. But what about Isaac?

The only words from Isaac recorded are simply, "We have the wood for burning....but where is the offering?"

I wonder if Isaac held the same faith as Abraham while he was laying on the altar ready to be killed? We don't hear about any fussing or crying and what-not..........this part of the story amazes me more than the "Faith of Abraham" theme.

Don't forget about Isaac's faith as well.

Christians, your thoughts.

I am 33wks 6 days pregnant. I am on complete bedrest (yuck!) until my baby is delivered because of my blood pressure. Right now i just have pregnancy induced hypertension, but I am getting the early signs of preeclampsia. (had it with my first son) Anyway they finally had to put me on blood pressure medication because even with bedrest my BP was still out of control. I am seeing my doctor twice a week until the baby is born. My last appointment was on Tuesday and the doctor starting talking about maybe delivering the baby next week, I will only be 34 going on 35 weeks. They gave me a steroid shot to help mature his lungs, but i am just worried. He said there could be a chance that his lungs wont be mature enough and he may have to be transported to another hospital. I am just wondering if anyone out there has had a baby this early, after recieving a steriod shot? How did your baby do? I just need something to help ease my mind.

...since the originals actually invested any time to investigate whether or not that claim is true? I'm certainly not a scholar on the subject, and wouldn't expect anyone here to be either, but there is an excellent book, written by one of the world's premier Biblical historians, Bart Ehrman's "Misquoting Jesus" is all about this problem.

Mills found over 30,000 nontrivial differences in different copies he had access to. Modern scholars have identified mored differences in extant ancient copies than there are words in the New testament.
