iv not played my ps3 for about a month,so i thought lets have a go.so im half way through playin pirates of the carrabean and the screen froz.so i reset the consle.now none of my games will work.im getting it replaced on mon so thats good but has any one had similar problems if any at all.id love to hear your comments.

Never had a problem with mine. Anyway, I think your lens is probably just dirty. Since you mentioned that you did'nt use it for a month, so it must've just gathered dust all that time being stocked and all that. Just blow on the lens or lightly polish it with a cloth(one used for reading glasses.)

Xbox merely extended the warranty because the Xbox 360 has a lot of design flaws(red rings of death, overheating(which on rare occasions burn the motherboard), the head scratching cd's, and so on.)

It's much better compare to XBOX 360 red ring of doom. That's the first time I hear about PS3 problems.

Oblivion sometimes freezes on mine. Always works after a reset though.

thats why you don't buy a ps3. wait a year till it happens again and sony charge you for repairs im happy with my xbox and its *FREE* 3 YEAR GUARANTEE!
sony always let me down trying to get my ps2 online was pointless so i got xbox live and it's never been better, get an xbox you will thank me for the advice trust me.
