I am in serious need of some information on child custody laws and I have no idea where to begin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....If a child's parents are deemed unfit then who will the government turn to? Do they try to give custody to family members? If there is an adult sibling(25) could the sibling fight for custody?

Does a slowly starving child in Ethiopia or an American soldier quickly bleeding to death in Iraq have the luxury of contemplating the existence of the external world?

Are they thinking things like:

What if I'm in the Matrix? What if I'm dreaming? What if I'm some kind of "experiment"? What if everyone else is a robot?
Am I the only being with a mind (solipsism) and everyone just appears to have one? What if I'm God and created this universe and put myself in it only to forget I did so? What if I'm a computer program or a holographic program?

Does a soldier who has just had one half of his body blown away from a bomb ask himself in the last few seconds of his life "What if I'm in the Matrix?"

And do the people who wonder if life really exists have the luxury of not having to do deal with life's harsher realities?

So.. here's my dillemma..
I'm single now.. have been for two weeks, not ready for another boyfriend but I'm thinking about the future.. I'm a christian and I'm struggling with the fact christians should date christians.. please don't abuse me for that, just respect that's my belief..
But I don't know what to do, because I'm not like other christians. I don't like preachy christians or controlling goody goody one's.
I'm just normal, but believe in God and do my best to do the right thing.
So I don't think I'll be happy with any of the christian guys I've met because they're.. SUPER christian.
What do I do?
I don't want to be alone.
I'm 18, and I would love to be engaged at 21.. I reckon I'm gonna TRY to take at least a year off to just find myself and enjoy being single. But yeah.. so at 19/20 I'm worried about not finding someone.. I don't live in the city either.. towns population is about 15000.

My 6yr old 1st grade son has been in school for 3 weeks. I received another call from the principal this morning to come pick him up, that he is showing aggressive behavior toward the teacher. The teacher is very patient with him, but with the rules these days this can't be tolerated. I have an appointment with the therapist we used last school year, but don't really know what to do at this point. He completes school work quickly, complains of boredom, then just sometimes has a fit because he needs to correct his writing, and other days he's fine with being told to correct his writing. Sometimes I wonder if its just a game, then how do I get him serious? I need something to change or he's going to end up getting suspended and expelled from school. Not to mention my nervous breakdown

I remember signing an agreement that says they can fire us for any reason, though it didn't specifically mention discussion of pay. I was not given a copy of this agreement for my records. In a college class, a professor told us it was against federal law for an employer to forbid discussion of salary or pay. Is this true? I feel like naive employees are being taken advantage of.

When wondering what God gets out of being worshipped, I was informed that it is the natural reaction of coming to KNOW him. So taking that as and end point, is their a natural progression?

Assuming our spiritial understanding increases, does our relationship change in incremental ways (e.g., first in curiosity, then frienship, love, worship?). Some other transition?

Or, for those who feel that they have an intimate relationship, was it more of a startling, profound qualitative change?
