I love that I get to use my wits to solve real life problems. I enjoy training teachers and helping them do their jobs. I enjoy traveling a little bit. Getting on a plane once a week for an island hop is cool. I like the people I work with most often. I love that I often work past quitting time without noticing, because I am really into what I'm doing at the moment. I hate travelling two or three days in a week. I hate when I have to work with people who get stuck somewhere in the process, or just carry around too much negativity. I hate when I work hard to produce badly needed training materials, and the higher ups don't have time to review or approve it. I don't mind meetings that are an effective use of my time, but there aren't that many people who seem to be able to prioritize, make an agenda, and stick to it with the proper balance of efficiency and flexibility.

Recently, I have gone from absolutely loving my job to just being in serious like with my job. I have my own office with a window which is awesome (but the view is terrible) and I can decorate and arrange my office any way I want. I have great co-workers, a nice boss and I am not micromanaged (like I was at previous jobs - hate that!) I don't have a bunch of deadlines, tons of paperwork or filing to do (I hate to file) and I can do things at my pace and in the order I chose. No one is looking over my shoulder and I get to hang out on YA as I please. There is really very little stress. This job fits me like a glove compared to previous jobs I've had.

However, if I listed all the downsides to my job (no job is perfect), I'd have to do a lot of typing and my list might be incriminating!! So, I'll just stick with the positive stuff!

BTW, I work as a secretary/receptionist.

I am currently an office manager for a payday loan company. I love working with people and I enjoy some of the people I work with. However I can't stand the high-ups. They don't see what's going on inside the offices and all they do is sit back in their cozy chairs in the home office and judge and criticize the rest of us. It would be nice every once in a while to be acknowledged for the good job we do or for the great customer service we offer.

That's why I'm leaving...THANK GOD!!!!!!!

I love my job, I like it because I do diferent things every day, I don't have to be sitting down for 8 hours all day, I can be inside the office and outside with clients, I love to meet people everyday and share time with them, the most important part is when I see my paycheck and I expend this money that I know I worked for it and it didn't feel like work. If you hate your job just quit and find one that you feel like hobby for you.

I have a very relaxed job that I love!
I love it cause I don't have to answer phone calls, I can surf on the internet allday, use msn, talk to friends. It's relaxed, nobody is asking what am I doing or nothing. I work thru emails, get requests from customers to get copies of invoices for a computer/technology related company. I load the invoices on a web-based site as pdf files then send them attached thru email. Log the request as a ticket completed and that's it. Isn't it lovely?

I'm in the Army. I work in an office. The people and environment remind me of High School. I hate my job. I would much rather be living on a farm in the country (or maybe on the outskirts of a small town) and working my Auto Body / Main. shop from the garage.

EDIT: Hey, Brown Eye (rofl), maybe you should supervise your children. Playing on the net doesn't seem like a responsible thing for you to do. But this is only my opinion.

If you hate your job then you need to look for another and get out. I almost became an auto sales person, I quit due to the fact that I don't have the energy to go above and beyond to convince someone they need a particular car so my boss can get rich and I can take a cut. I believe people need to be respected for being in charge of their own decisions and not have someone consistently try to swindle them.

I am a teacher I hated teaching when working at one particular school and thought of changing careers. Micromanaged and overworked, plus it seemed to be a place everyone hated being at and no one trusted others.

I am now at a school I love and the people are great plus I am independent to make my own choices as I know my own students.

I am a home maker and mother of two beautiful children, and one on the way. I love my job, it may not pay much in money, but the hugs and kisses, and the "I love you" out of the blue more than make up for that.
