Definately try www.starfall.com I started my 4 year old daughter playing it a couple of weeks ago and she loves it. She begs me to play it every evening and will spend a couple of hours on it if I'd let her. Only problem is I have to fight her to get her off the computer every night!

Starfall might be helpful. How old is your son? I work with preschool aged children and we emphasize the sounds of words all the time with our little ones. For example, if I point out the word 'bus' I will repeat the b-b-b sound and comment that the letter b says b-b-b. We might spend the whole day talking about b and looking and listening for b words. They usually catch on pretty fast. With younger children, they hear the initial sounds first so it's easiest to emphasize those beginning sounds. By the time they are 5, they are hearing ending sounds and sometimes they hear other sounds in a word too. Make conversation about letter sounds a frequent part of everything you do: "We need to buy more m-m-milk at the store. I'll write that on my list. M-m-m-milk. what letter do you think it starts with?" If he doesn't choose M, get the milk carton, pretend you don't know, and when you find the m, laugh and say "Oh I should have guessed that because I know m says m-m-m!"

Also, keep in mind that children learn letters that have meaning for them first, so the letters in their name are always a good place to start. If his name is Ryan, start with the R and emphasize the r sound. Then talk about other words that start with r, like rabbit, rice, and ring. Move along as quickly as he seems to be catching on, or take it slow and easy if he needs more time.

do no longer use the letter names whilst coaching phonics, yet emphasise the letter sound. as an occasion, if a infant comes around the observe 'mattress' and does no longer realize it, making use of the letter names to decode it he would say 'bee ee dee'. regardless of the undeniable fact that making use of the letter sounds ( i will attempt to spell them as they sound) 'buh, eh, de'. whilst he blends the sounds at the same time the observe 'mattress' may be heard. no longer all words may be sounded out, look up the a hundred key phrases checklist, those purely ought to be discovered on sight. start up analyzing words by ability of splitting it into the sounds with CVC words (Consonant, Vowel, Consonant) i.e. cat, mat, pit, sat, sunlight etc... convey it to recommendations is greater significant to appreciate the letter sound than the call of the letter!

Leap Frog makes a great cross media set of learning aids.

My son started with Leap Frog Letter Factory and Word Factory, then we found toys that reinforced what he saw in the DVD's. The songs are catchy and we sing them all the time to keep it fresh in his mind.

It's possible to spend plenty of time and money trying to find methods to teach your young ones how to see and improve their examining skills. Is difficult to show a small kid how to read, and also enticing them to read is difficult in itself. Nonetheless it does not need to be that way since you got assistance from the program https://tr.im/UG9lQ , Children Learning Reading program.
With Children Learning Reading you can teach your youngster how to separate looks and separate words into phonemes, an essential point when your child is just learning to spell.
The examining system from Children Learning Reading program makes it easy for kids to see rapidly and precisely, from easy words to sentences till they understand to see stories.
