I understand and have heard 12 weeks to be the youngest they can go home, but that already seems rather old to me; the kitten isn't anylonger small, but already medium sized.

I have two cats already, both six years old, as well as two dogs, both of whom are very good with their counter parts.

I'm told that if I want to introduce this new family member, I need to get it while it's still small.

I'm a Christian. I just wanted to know what persuaded some of you to turn to Him and what keeps you going in His love and in the faith. I know for me, He's constantly showing me His love and I don't want anything different. I've known so much of Him lately that I don't want anything less, only more! I don't think, I KNOW I can't, stand without His love and Presence ever abiding with me. Granted, I'm not perfect. He has to chastize sometimes, but that's fine. It only causes me to grow and experience more of His love!! It's great. He's so wonderful and amazing.

What about you?

I'm having pan fried salmon, with devilled eggs.

I'd prefer it not to be too "carby" as we're on atkins.

Please just remember our fallen, our heroes, our innocent fellow Americans who lost their lives on the tragic day of 9-11-01. For one day put you personal opinions aside and just remember them and appreciate that those of us are still here and able to feel the warm sun and see our children play. Their are many who are not, and whatever your views are... just for one day have compassion for eachother no matter what religion, political pref.we are all still Americans and we are bonded by that day. I pray for all of us to never feel or see the same thing happen again, for my childrens sake and yours. God bless us all !

It all started about 5 weeks ago when my roommate moved out and took her dog with her. I wasn't even aware that he had fleas. She used frontline and kept his areas clean, but now I'm suffering. I vacuum at least 3 times a week and throw out the bags. I've fogged the apartment 4 times. I've washed all my towels, bedding, throw pillows, curtains etc. or dry cleaned them a few times. I've sprayed the house with the aerosol cans of flea killer that kills fleas and larva at least 4 times. Last week I tried the carpet powder. Following all the directions. And about 2 days ago I used borax. I woke up this morning with bites! UGH I can't seem to stop them. It's making me crazy. The apartment complex even called in an exterminator who sprayed about 10 days ago. Does anyone have any info to help me please?????

OK...I've been "climbing the corporate ladder" for about ten years now, and have hit an impasse.
They say that 10 minutes of *** kissing is better than 10 years of experience. The sad thing is...it's TRUE!
But unfortunately for me I lack two particular *** kissing skills....
I can't talk sports, and I'm not a drinker.
From my observations, all the best *** kissers can go have a beer with the boss, and talk about nothing but football or baseball, etc.. for hours...and leave him thinking..."Gee...he's a GREAT guy! He'll go far in this company"!
Don't get me wrong... I know that I have a GREAT personality...am a HARD worker, and I know my industry...but the sad reality is those things can only take you so far.
How do I get over this "Sports Talk/Alcohol" hurdle?
Do I just have to bite the bullet and become a sports fan and a drinker?
Please tell me that there is another way!

Please help!

Thanks!

How can you get something from nothing? It just doesn't make sense. Here's the funny part, many atheists out there are gonna re-define "nothingness" for me. They are gonna spew some "fairy" logic reversals that your weird and senile philosophy teacher taught you back in college. This is nothing more than mind games and makes absolutely no sense. Nothing is nothing!!!!! You need something to produce something. It is as simple as that. If I were to play the "atheistic shuffle" and entertain the notion that nothing is actually something(sigh), then I would have to ask where did that nothing come from? Another nothing? Atheist seem to have the pre-conceived notion that mankind was put on earth to figure everything out. How arrogant is that thought!!! How insulent is it to assume we are the smartest S.O.B's alive!!! What's even more funny or should I say sad( it's really both). Is that many athiest would rather believe we came from space aliens than from an almighty God who loved us.

On Oct 18, 2004, Arthur Shelton murdered his roommate Larry Hooper because Hooper was an atheist. After the murder, he called 911 and turned himself in. He later told police that, "In the eyes of the law I was wrong and will probably spend the rest of my life in prison, but in the eyes of God I have killed an evil person -- the devil himself."

Shelton was convicted of 2nd degree murder with mental illness mitigating and sentenced to 25 - 45 years.

According to statements made by Shelton's family, his religious beliefs were no different than their own, and not much different from the beliefs of many mainstream Christians. The major difference is that he ACTED on his beliefs.

So... was Shelton criminally insane or criminally religious? What are your thoughts?

I live in a neighborhood with 3 or 4 registered cats that are allowed to roam freely, day and night. I came home yesterday to find one of these cats hiding by my bird feeder, looking to catch a free meal. I'm indifferent about cats, but as a bird fan, this really ticks me off.

The cats all have ID tags, but they run when approached. I was considering using a live animal trap to catch the cat and return it to the owner, but I doubt they'll get the message without a fine. If allowing a cat to roam freely isn't a finable offense, then I welcome your suggestions. Calling the animal wardon isn't an option - they won't come unless the cat is hostile towards humans. Seems to me that someone allowing a dog to roam the neighborhood wouldn't get the same blind eye.
