I have my sight intact, so I can't speak for blind people. But I would venture to say that being blind doesn't mean your life is completely ruined. There are lots of disabilities, loss of vision or hearing, being physically or mentally handicapped, etc. You play the hand you are dealt. Some people are smarter or more attractive or stronger than others, etc. You use your strengths and what you have to the best of your ability to live your life to the fullest. I'd like to think that if I were blind, I wouldn't be wondering, "How can I enjoy life?" I'd just be living it.

I have had blind friends and have known many blind people and they all really seemed to enjoy there lives .
The newly blind , understandably , had a period of acceptance and adjustment .
Some were angry and bitter for awhile, but after an attitude adjustment they made wonderful progress and tho there everyday life was full of different challenges they are all productive , well adjusted contributors to the community .
Attitude is everything ! It will make you or break you .
Blind or deaf or paralyzed, chronic pain --a good attitude gets them all through the day ! And I seldom have seen anyone think that life was not worth living just because they had one more challenge !

Evidently, by utilizing all your OTHER senses to their absolute maximum !!
I have a very good friend who is married to a totally blind girl ---who has three college degress and an executive position within the state government here in Texas !! She is a marvelously talented individual who has MANY interests and is HERSELF extremely interesting as an individual !! She has a number of devices that compensate for her disability on a number of levels and probably reads braille faster than you or I read !! She has an outrageous sense of humor and has a thousand and one "blind" jokes -- And, she will be the first to tell you --- she is NOT the only one who has excelled in life as a blind person !!!
Look around (pun intended here) and you'll see (oh, god this is great) that there are thousands of blind individuals leading quite exceptional lives !! It has, from what I can gather, a great deal to do with the acceptance OF the condition and the Determination to make everything else the best that it can be !!!!

Were you born blind or just recently become blind? Not having sight is no reason to give up on living. There are a great many sightless persons who have been great contributors to society. Helen Keller for one, here from my own state, Alabama.
Ray Charles, wow, he overcame his handicap to become one of our greatest entertainers. An acquaintance of mine, also from Alabama, was born blind, but he has a voice that is heard all over the United States. I admire him greatly in the pursuit of his dream. He knew at a very early age he wanted to be a radio announcer and he made his dream come true.
You can check him out at www.theburnsagencyonline.com and looking in the male voice talent, Ken Osbourn.

Only one of the senses is missing. There are still many waqys to experience life and it's pleasures and pains. I wonder though how a blind person could answer this question.

Be happy you are around to still enjoy the company of your loved ones. And be grateful that you still have life. And you will always have memories of sunset and butterflies. But just stay positive and realize that some people have vision but have no one to love them or a home and other things.
So I think that you just have to be appreciative for the things that you have!!!! Life, Love, Happiness, Family, Friends Etc.

Don't let it stop you from fulfilling your dreams.. Keep moving on with life, and accept it, even if you are blind you can still enjoy life, you can still eat, sleep, talk, and communicate with others. Keep yourself busy so you don't feel sorry for yourself.
