Can you drive vehicles with multitronic gearboxes (Audi), or Geartronic (Volvo)? What are the rules about what you can and can't drive, because these are automatic gearboxes that can be used to manually select gears

You can drive anything that doesn't have a clutch pedal. So besides traditional automatics you can use more modern autoboxes where you can use them as a standard auto or move up and down the box by operating the lever or steering wheel paddles yourself. There is also the Citroen/Peugeot 'sensodrive' range, these cars have a clutch and a manual gearbox but no clutch pedal, everything is controlled by an ecu and heavy duty motors on the gearbox. You are ok to drive these.

As long as it's automatic you can drive it

if you have to change gear manually its not automatic

I think if there is no manual clutch you are covered.

If it has a clutch pedal you can't drive it.
