This is probably one of the most ridiculous new releases I've seen lately. The McDonald's manager and the other employee who "tried to knock the salt off" are equally to blame. And how dumb is the cop who ate a burger so salty it made him sick? This has got to be one dumbo! Someone please tell me how a prosecutor can file charges against someone for "attempted poisoning" when the fool ate it?!?
Why did the McDonald's manager allow the meat to be cooked and served?
I hope this kid gets a good lawyer, for a good lawyer will make the cops look even more stupid.

Oh this is ridiculous! Sure I'd have probably complained and asked for a fresh burger but to arrest someone over this is an abuse of power! I'm actually just disgusted that that's the type of person in charge of enforcing laws! What is it lately with these cops, judges, and lawyers that go WAY overboard just to cause other people grief? Disgusting...just disgusting!
Oh and neither one should be held responsible to the point of them having legal troubles. It was just salty meat for gods sake and that cop ought to be ashamed with himself for harassing that girl and or tying up our legal system with something so frivolous!

Anytime I have over salted something in my own kitchen - it is very obvious and the dish is thrown out without anyone consuming it- not because it'll make you sick but because it tastes bad.
And another thing food being over salted isn't going to make you sick- thirsty maybe but sick no.
I think somebody is lying- whether it's the cop about getting sick ( if it really was just salt)
Or the worker - maybe it wasn't just salt then he might have gotten sick.
I don't think this is a legal matter- give the cop a certificate for a free Big & Tasty and call it even.

It is illegal to sell anything that would endanger the public health. I agree it should be the manager or the supervisor who made the decision to use the salty meat.

I read the story and once the story came out about what happened, they should have let it go. The cop was simply convinced that it was done deliberately to him, even though it wasn't. Typical cop with a massive ego. Little Napoleons with authority.

I'd have to go with holding the manager and supervisor responsible as well.
