I was watching that movie Dante's peak and saw that couple bathing in a hot spring and then there was some kind of volcanic activity and they got boiled alive. Can this really happen at a real hot spring?

Is it possible for lava to come bursting out of a hot spring or for the hot spring to change into a huge volcano?

I know it sounds silly but what really powers these natural hot springs?

My homework was to find out some last names that start with the letters A-Z....but i couldn't find any that start witht he letters Q,X, & Z .....the last names cannot be Mexican last names. Murray Perahia in 1994, mulling over career decisions he had made, in search for something 'bigger', in search of an 'heroic' style, concluded ruefully that he had consequently made the mistake of thinking that it could be gained through 'being louder'. I recognise myself as having committed that fallacy at some point in the past too. Is this a purely pianistic affliction, or are we musicians all heir to this particular 'sin of the musical flesh' at some point in our development?

I have a 12 year old yellow lab that lives at my house and I take him to my momś while I work. He pants big time and will not relax until he is let outside and refuses to come in a dry cool house even if its raining or during very hot weather. A new cat started living at my momś a month ago but he started doing this 2 months ago. At my house he is very relaxed. We also have a nice cat at my house but he been good with it for 2 years. He does have a problem with my steps to the back door and my momś steps to the back door. The front steps is no problem at either house. He acts like he is in a great deal of pain only in my motherś house. Anybody with ideas what the problem is with my poor dog would be apprieceted.

…as a religious leader, god, or demigod, be practicing his religion i.e. Judaism?

I don’t think there would be much opposition to the statement that Jesus was a devoutly religious Jew.
Even the Christian gospels indicate this clearly. He was called a rabbi (Judaic religious teacher). He was very knowledgeable of the Judaic religious texts. He followed the Torah and observed religious feasts like Passover (the last supper was a Passover feast). In the last days of his life he drove the moneychangers from the temple because he felt they were defiling this holiest of Judaic sites. He regarded himself and was regarded by others as a Judaic prophet.

So why do Christians, the self-professed followers of Jesus, follow a different, religion (or group of religions) to Jesus? Why do they have Popes, heretics, saint, monks, nuns, George and the dragon, Santa Claus, crusades, televangelists, Christmas trees, the trinity, virgin births, purgatory, etc; all the trappings of Christianity that have nothing to do with Judaism or Jesus’s beliefs?
In the time of Jesus there was diversity in Judaism, there were, for example, Sadducees, Pharisees, Essenes, and Zealots. After his death there were also 2 (at least) varieties of Judaism that were started by Jesus’s family and disciples, based on Jesus’s teachings Ebonites and Nazarenes. However all these groups were Judaic in their theology and religious practices, and certainly did not resemble at all Christian theology or practices.

is why some churches don't allow women to wear jeans! Yeah I've heard the verse in dueteronomy, but that was then, in the OT. If Jesus was here now, would he really care about our clothes? As long as they aren't revealing!

I wear jeans all the time (and yes, I wear them to church) and I would feel totally weird wearing a skirt.

(I got all fired up about this cuz a girl I know that told me that wearing jeans isn't right cuz I'm a girl.)

wats the diff, the textbook is confussing me with the two, becasue the teacher told us to use log base 2...and i used log base 10 ( direct imput into calculator - cos calculator is alwasy base 10 right?) and i STILL got the right answeer ...werid?

also can u use log base 2 on a calcualtor? or do u have to manually do change of base everytime?!?

well i woke up one morning with a really dry mouth.it never happend to me before. i kept on drinking water but my mouth continued to be dry and feel like theres a wad of cotton in there. The day before this happend i didnt drink anything at all. so im not really sure what is going on. i checked the symptoms for diabetes and the only one i have is dry mouth and thirst.
