I'm 18 years old and work for a luxury hotel. I'm only here about 6 weeks and will have made about $1500 when I finish. About 20% of my wages are taken out as taxes on my paycheck. On the stub it says FIT, FICA, ST CA, and CA SDI. Will I be eligible to file for some kind of refund later in the year?

My 13month old son loves to climb and is very (and I mean VERY) active. No toys hold his interest long and I am wondering if any of you parents have found anything good for entertaining baby at this age? Do they sell any safe playsets that he can climb for indoor use? He is not walking yet but is close. Thanks!

I've been a chain smoker for 3-4 years. I need to stop and I'm only 22. My fiance is going to quit too, because we live in the same house and if 1 can't smoke.. neither can the other.

Any advice, suggestions etc? Cold turkey or what? This saturday might be a good day to do it because I'll be in a plane or airport for 8 hours.

Coal-fired power plant is a big issue here in the Iloilo, Philippines. The government and other agencies who are pushing for its construction are selling the idea that there's is a "clean coal." I'm just wondering how clean is clean in coal?

When we look at the bible, we are technically viewing 66 books at once. its a collection of scripture and biblical and religious stories spanned over 1,500 years at least. With a total of 40 authors, the answer to my question would seem simple enough.

But my intentions are to find out who collected the work of these 40 authors and decided they needed to be put into one book. who decided the order of them, and who put them on paper.

I very much consider myself a fanatical right winger though a few issues I would side with the left on (like the death penalty oddly enough) but in looking around here for the last year and seeing the extremism that exists on both sides I have to ask extremist of both sides:

What if the other side was correct (notice I didn't say right). I mean what if the other side had the answer to a political issue and it was a good answer for the majority of people or even all the people? Could you support that answer after it came from the other side? Or does your political blinders hit you and you discount it simply because of "who" is for it?

Well just for info, my brother and I are working on a '62 Bel Air.
As of now we are replacing full floor pans and such, but I have a few questions.
My first is about the interior.
I have looked for a few weeks, and I'm still unable to find a true reproduction of Bel Air door panels. (2 door sedan, specifically, color green)
I have found Impala door panels, but they are very different in design.
I would be greatful if someone could help me out on that.
Also, the car originally came with a straight 6 and an automatic transition.
My brother and I are planning on putting in a 5.7L 350 small block
with a 4 speed tranny.
Does anyone know if the modifications we have to do to the car are going to be too serious? i know that we'll have to chop a hole in the new floor and such, and shave the column shifter, but is it "safe" to change an automatic to a manual?
Don't get me wrong my brother knows what he's dealing with very well.
These questions are just for me, because I am very curious.

Thanks

But when it comes to free healthcare, and free college the rich republicans say no no! It's easy to want more laws to keep everyone in prison or in fear. But there is no help for the little man out working and not making hardly anything.

How about down with wars, down with the rich and up with unions for workers?
