He said he was guilty, then he said he wasn't guilty. Then he said that he resigned, then he said that he hasn't really resigned yet. This guy is friggin' froot loops, and he is/was a Senator?!
Probably the worst case scenario is that he gets impeached by the House of Representatives after facing an angry ethics hearing. Yes, senators can be impeached.

They probably can't kick him out though they might try. The Republicans have already said there would be no support for the party in his next election which is 2008. The party would send letters to the people of Idaho stating their support for another candidate, and encourage all donors to ignore him. He'd lose quickly - Republicans are good at eating their own they don't deny deny deny and think its ok.

Maybe someone should explain what Craig is accused of doing to Lillian. And he plead guilty to a lesser crime so that it wouldn't be revealed just how foul and nasty this bird really is. Only it was revealed. So now he's innocent.

Uh, kind of a moot point now that he HAS resigned.
But yeah, there is a process. The state could have a recall vote and elect someone to replace him.
As it is, the governor will now appoint someone to fill out the unexpired term.

Let him keep his Senate seat and make him head of a congressional committee to investigate the cleanliness of the mens rooms in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. :-)))

He resigned and his resignations can only mean 2 things or he is an idiot for pleading guilty as a senator to something he didn't do and later resign his seat for that something that he didn't do or he did it.

I guess that would mean he was ready to gear up for a fight.
There is no proof, the man spoke against gays , how do we know he was not set up. When you can get arrested for taping your foot in a bathroom. What are they going to come up with next. It has become pretty nasty.
