I have a pretty long quote that is at the end of a page and continues onto the next page, are you aloud to split a quote up like that?

If it were me then I would try to pad out some paragraph before it to make the part with the quote fall on the next page.

You can do that, theres no problem in it. But like Rich Z said, its probably better to have it all on one page.
