fill the 11 quart, pour it into the 7, leaving you with 4 quarts in the 11 quart container. then empty out the 7 quart container. pour the remaining 4 quarts from the 11 quart container into the 7 quart container (which gives you 4 quarts in the 7 quarts container, 0 quarts in the 11 quart container) completely fill the 11 quart container (giving you a full 11 quarts, and 4 quarts in the 7 quart container) pour 3 quarts from the 11 quart container into the 7 quart container (giving you a full 7 quart container, and 8 quarts in the 11 quart container) empty out the 7 quart container. then pour 7 of the remaining 8 quarts from the 11 quart container, into the 7 quart container. leaving 1 quart in the 11 quart container. this is absolutely correct. ive had this problem to many times in high school :)

fill the 11 cup. Pour into the 7 cup until full. pour out 7 cup. pour the last 4 quarts in 7. refill 11 and pour into 7 until full. now there is 8 quarts in the 11 cup. Empty seven and pour the 11 cup into the 7 cup until full. There is 1 quart left in the 11 quart cup!

This is a very basic math question...you should think a little harder before you ask for help. And spelling 'quart" properly might help....

your question makes no sense - whatever the measure, 1 part rice to 2 parts water.
