Everyone beats down on Bush, but what on earth does everyone want him to do??? The entire world is gravitating towards war: someone has to fight, someone has to save us all from these terrorists that are mucking up our lives and I think Bush has the right approach.

America's a big and powerful country and we as the world count on it to fight on our behalf.

George W. Bush is a noble man to me. What do you guys think?

'All I know is that I know nothing' (Socrates)

'Philosophy does not solve anything; philosophy leaves everything as it is' (Wittgenstein)

...'thinking is always that which we know we have not yet begun to do'.. (Derrida)

2500 years from Socrates to the 20th century and philosophy has not progressed one jot. Why? Because there is no such thing as a body of knowledge called ''Philosophy''. It either asks pseudo and hollow questions that have no objective answer (e.g. 'What is the meaning of life?' 'What is happiness'? 'Is there an objective morality?' etc or asks questions that science has not yet found an answer to: e.g. 'Is the mind identical with the brain' which is typical of a question that cannot, and will not ever be answered by philosophical enquiry.

As Wittgenstein said: 'there are problems of logic, problems of mind, of language...but there are no actual philosophical questions. There is no such thing as the 'problems of Philosophy'.

Thank you, and good night!

I've always heard people give advice of, oh chemistry fades, you should never marry someone just for sex. Well what if sex is really just that important to the people. People marry for all sorts of reasons, esp these days. Love, Money, children, convenience, etc. What is so wrong with marrying someone who you have great sex with?

Reading in my daily devotional today from ACTS 4:34-35 "All who possessed land or houses sold them and brought the proceeds to the apostles, and the apostles distributed to each as anyone had need."

So my questions: Were the early Christians socialists? Should the church be more socialist today? And would Christianity attract more liberals and atheists if we practiced more socialism?

We had a bad experience last time we sold our home, as the agent who "sold himself" to us a a top performer from his firm, was just a sleaze who bought up as many listings as he could and then waited for the commissions to come in. After 6 months we eventually fired him, and sold the house in a month.

We would like advice on what we should look out for to avoid this on our current house. We have plenty of time now, and plan to interview several candidates.

No Offense to any Realtors, but we want advice from regular consumers, not anyone currently working as a listing or buying agent.

Because the (GOOD) book by most accounts is heepum (Malaprop) full of a angry GOD. HE has killed HIS people for whining and what seems to me minor transgressions. If so did he send a space chunk (Malaprop) to wipe out HIS creations because they were incapable of worship, 65 million years ago. If so why didn't HE speed up the evolution process and get HIS worshipers sooner. I mean christians want us to believe that our 24 hour day is important to GOD, that every hour could be spent doing HIS work. Now we've established that christians are definatly diveded into two camps, ones that believe in evolution (NOW) and ones that believe the earth is about 6000 years old and evolution starts with Adam&Eve in HIS likeness, not microbial. Now should we humans fear GOD'S wrath, I mean HE could easily send another asteroid (space chunk) and let us all know HE'S still in charge. Now don't be offended that I refer to HIM,HE,HIS I do that out of a profound knowledge that all religious text are male.

I will pick a best answer but before you say anything let me say this: I understand naval aviators land on carriers, just like in driving a car one is not a good driver because he/she can parallel park in a tight spot, its the over all skill not one thing. Any marine/air force fighter pilot can put in extra training to land on the carrier.

SO WHAT IS THE BEST BRANCH TO BECOME A FIGHTER PILOT?!
