try using one of those refrigerator boxes of baking soda. It should absorb the worst of the smell. Once you've done that you can try the Lysol or Febreeze again.

I've also heard that coffee grounds have a similar effect to the baking soda.

Hi! This may sound strange, but put it in a bag and tie the bag. Then put it in the deep freeze for a couple of days or so. It worked on really stinky shoes of my daughters, it was actually in winter so I just stuck them in an unheated porch. It worked when nothing else did, if kills any bacteria that's causing the odor. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Clean with Milton , or any other type of sterilizing solution used for cleaning new born baby´s drinking bottles. This will kill any germ´s left in the bag and rid the smell. The rinse with cold water and hang outside to dry

Bicarbonate of soda works really well on bad smells. It absorbs all the nasties. Put a little (or large) sprinkle in the bag and leave it for a few hours or even over night.

Mix 1 cup of white vinegar 3 cups of water and a squirt of dawn dish detergent, wash inside and out. rinse and dry either outside or in the dryer. vinegar is an odor eater and will do the job.

If you don't think it would go into the washing machine... put it in the bathtub and scrub inside and out with warm water and laundry detergent.... Then dry it outside on the line....

Dust the inside with baking soda or believe it or not, coffee beans do a great job of absorbing odor.

you could try keeping dryer sheets in it, which may take a while, but would work eventually. you could also see directions on how it could be washed and/or drycleaned.
