Why is the UNITED NATIONS called the POLITICAL CAPITAL OF THE WORLD??

So basically the story is that I was attending Umass where I was on the soccer team, and going into my senior year while getting a degree in Hospitality Tourism Management (HTM). I basically originally wanted to major in Management or Finance, but since the business school there wouldn’t let me in even with a 3.5 GPA and the fact that I already was a junior I settled on majoring in HTM and right now I’m 9 classes away from graduating on time this year. Anyway, soccer sort of fell through with the coaches this year, and I have the opportunity to transfer into Rutgers at the last minute and I’ve already got accepted into the business school and can major in either Management or Finance and get a degree in business. The thing is I would have to go to school an extra year. So my situation basically is do I go back to Umass where all my friends are, it’s a fun school, and graduate on time with an HTM degree or do I go to Rutgers and get a business degree, but live at home and go to school for an extra year. The thing is I sort of know the smart thing to do is to go to Rutgers and get a better degree that will probably open up more opportunities for me, but at the same time I really want to go back to Umass and be around my friends and finish up after this year. The thing is I know HTM has a reputation for being kind of a joke degree, and I now I have an opportunity where only one more extra year of school may pay off in the long run. Any advice from anyone?

Legend has it, that every military post has one main flag pole who's truck, or finial (the ball on top) contains one razor, one match, and one bullet. In the event that the base is overthrown, someone is to dig around the base of this flag pole, find the .45 pistol, then climb the flag pole.
Next they are to use the razor to destroy the flag, the match to burn it, and the bullet to commit suicide to prevent being taken alive.
I'd like to know... Do you think this is fact or fiction?

Is the city going broke? Didn't they just build a stadium? I heard they are cutting benefits to it's employees and retirees drastically? Is there any truth to the fall of the posts that the new stadium is forcing the city to cut retiree's benefits? Uh-oh....Should I move here? Housing is cheap but without cops or firemen who cares? My BF and I broke up a year ago when I left him for another man. That relationship went sour and I still was in love with my ex. I moved back in as a roomate. During the last few months we have been getting closer.(sharing a bed, acting like a couple, etc.) No he has started to date somebody and I told him Im heartbroken and he told me that this is what he went through when I did this to him last year and we are just friends now. All calculations aside, I got it right: 8.5x10^-3 g O2/L
BUT my book says that the answer is 8.45x10^-3 g O2/L

I don't have any review in this book about significant figures but from what I've found on the internet, when you multiply or divide, you use the smallest number in the problem to determine the nimber of significant figures. So when the smallest number is 25, is the answer 8.5..... or 8.45......?

Several years ago when we remodeled and added on to our house, we stained all trim, stair rails and doors. Our front porch and back deck are also stained (can you tell my husband likes "stain"?) Now we are ready to sell. I know it won't be a great expense, but is it worth the time to paint the trim before putting our house on the market? All rooms are some varying shade of a neutral beige/tan color. Carpet is "speckled" with brown shading. Kitchen floor is stone. Dining room hardwood.
