The school system is telling me my son has Asperger's. He certainly has some of the characteristics, however, my husband is a tested genius and he also has the same characteristics. He did not speak until he was six, is socially and physically awkward, and processes information in a similar manner. . . The characteristics of both are amazingly similar . . . I am currently treating the social and verbal delay but am hesitant to accept A.S. diagnosis. I think the school has good intentions (and it would certainly be a financial relief to have free therapy) but want to make sure . . . Any thoughts?

This is a question that I've been pondering for years. I was once told that they are there to warn low flying aircraft, but this doesn't really make sense because their use seems so random. Some wires have them, and some don't. Sometimes they appear near airports, and sometimes they don't. So, if your answer is "...to warn low flying aircraft..." I'd appreciate some explanation as to exactly how their use is decided/regulated.

I'd also like to know the technical name for the 'balls,' if there is one, so that I can do research to check the answer myself.

I don't know if this is the right section for a question of this type. I guess I'm hoping that an engineer at a power company will see this and be able to shed a little light on it for me.

Fear of differences ?

Wind blows due a difference in its own temporature within different zones.

Nothing is wrong if humans have differences, hate, love and wars, it keeps the life in action and growing forward. Otherwise the life would be aimless/direction less.

if the expansion of the universe stops. could its contraction lead to an "infinite" amount of energy being condensed in an infinitely confined space leading to another big bang.

I know this girl, whom I only kissed once and nothing has happened between us since.She didn't want to go further,so we remained friends.We met up this wkn with a group of friends and we ended up chatting alone after clubbing about 'US'!

The question which stuck in my head is:
1. Why don't I do 1 night stands? 2.Why am I so against them?

Does this mean she wanted something to happen that night? We were also cuddling tightly/kissing each other on the neck/cheek a lot!
