They always seem so snug when I put them back on.

The best way would be to air dry or line dry after you wash them, but they would still be snugger than when you wear them for a day. I don't like to air dry because I think it makes them feel sort of stiff. I just put mine on the lowest temp. It takes a little longer but it's worth it espically if they are stretch jeans. Make sure you always wash them with cold water. Hot or warm will shrink them right up.

When i wash my husbands jeans I turn them inside out and if I do have to tumble dry them I warm the dryer up with normal washing then just place the jeans inside the dryer to take most of the dampness out then I put them over the airer to finish they don't shrink that way plus cool wash not hot

I'm not sure about the drying, I just hang them out. BUT with the washing if you want to keep the colour of jeans and stop fading you should always add salt into your wash. A surf label used to print this on their tags and shop assistants have told me this as well.

I wash them on warm/cold and dry on medium. Denim tends to re-block itself so the first time you put them on they will have a little snug feel. It disappears as soon as you continue to wear them. Do you notice how they really lose their shape in between washings?
