I live in a very conservative (politically and socially) area. I am rather laid-back and liberal. I am finding it difficult to find a job, make friends and feel comfortable with service professionals (doctors, dentists, etc.) because the business climate is very cut-throat resulting (in my opinion) a living environment that is paranoid and non-trusting. Is there any hope? How does a mild mannered person like myself get along in this type of environment? I keep wanting to be friendly and trust people,, but this seems to be the opposite of how people behave here and how they expect you to behave.
Any suggestions?

Many citizens of the USA are rightly alarmed at legislation passed into law i.e. the patriot act, the military commision act etc.. After listening to Alex jones, they fear the worst, that another false flag terroist attack, will lead to a declaration of marshal law, internment camps etc etc. I disagree, I don't think that the powers that be in the USA would get away with such dratic action, I don't think they would even risk it, I don't think they are that stupid!

Did anyone see the movie Sicko? A British politician (Tony Benn) was interviewed about our National health care system, and he was asked by moore, what would happen if the government tryed to do away with it? His reponse startled me, "there would be a revolution" he said with no hesitation. I don't see any signs here of a revolution, but it just goes to show the people have the real power, and given the right provacation, they are unstoppable. I say this also applies to the USA

I have this friend who apparently had completely lost it when Bush won. He was a 4.0gpa poli-sci student, involved the the government with a good job. Since then, he cannot hold a job, sits around all day and acts completely bonkers. He says he had a mental breakdown because of the election. I was gone for years so I wasn't around. No one can seem to tell me what the heck happened. Does anyone else know anyone like this & if so, why the hell did that happen??

last nite I had a lite dinner , but fruit for dessert
BG reading at bedtime was 295
so i gave myself 30 u Humolog and 80 u of Lantus (reg dose)
and went to bed , but i had dry mouth so i sucked on 1/2 a hard candy, about 6 am i woke up with dry mouth and sucked on the other half of candy
at 7a BG was 265 that is really high for me i gave myself 30 u of humolog.
trying to figure out was it high from the fruit dessert or the hard candy ..

my cat is loose too much wait she to skinny!! and we dont know how to help her! we took her to the vet and they said they didnt find anything wrong with her they gave her a shot to eat more but shes still not doing any better! shes also starting to get very weak & she'll fall off of fernature without being able to stop herself and she cant jump very good anymore ether! *also shes only a year old*

Recently my husband's debit card was stolen by a carpet installer in our home. He went on a spending spree, and nearly cleaned out our bank account. Luckily, a red flag came up on our account and stopped the spending.

Anyway, we have identified him from the security footage of two different stores. We are waiting to hear back from the police about if charges will be filed against him. Our bank put the money back into our account yesterday, but we don't really feel like that makes everything better.

We are not sue happy types of people, but it just seems like we should get something from the carpet company for hiring people like this that we trust to come into home. To top it all off, when this first happened, the company was really rude to me and acted like I was lying, and their carpet installers would never steal anything.

So my question is this- can I sue the carpet company? I just really want a partial or full refund for services...and an apology would be nice too!

...just wondering...

It's about time for me to buy new ones and it's only been about 6 months. I wash them in cold water in a netted laundry bag with woolite on the gentle cycle. Is there something I should be doing to make them last longer? Or is 6 months the typical lifespan of a bra? Should I just stop being cheap and make a visit to the lingerie store?

Your thoughts...no mean criticisms please....just honest answers
