I observe a general consensus that global warming is happening and is caused by human activity. (OK, stop right here if you're a global warming dissenter; this question isn't for you, and I don't want to hear it here.) So, why aren't we doing more? We're not feverishly looking for ways to stop it. The actions of governments so far are a joke. Let's put things in perspective: think about what happened in the US during WWII: the government practically took over the economy, enforced rations, etc. Also, China plans to quadruple their economy, while "only" doubling their output of greenhouse gases. What kind of a commitment is that? Do people really believe that global warming is caused by human activity?
