I don't know about all the time, but I act happy when I feel happy. I feel sad, depressed, miserable, angry, jealous, etc. just like everyone else. But I try to be a happy person because I believe that our Father in Heaven wants us to be happy. I believe that the purpose of life is to learn to be happy.

Personally, I would rather be with happy people than with miserable people...wouldn't you?

Oh well, just because we are Mormons that means that we are happy 100% of the time. We have happy, sad, boring and silly moments like everyone else. But there is something true, Mormons are very friendly people who are always caring and often have a nice, possitive attitude that is contagious! All Mormons I've met are like that. I'm Mormon too and I'm a nice person, I try to smile to everyone even when I'm having a bad day. It is no1 else's fault when I am not having a super great day. I am (and my fellow Mormons too) always happy when we remember about the salvation plan and hw big is God's love for us and we love to share that with others, we wish everyone feels that beautiful feeling that can leave sadness totally behind. When having a bad day or a bad moment, just think that God is always there for you and he wants you to be happy.. Satan wants you to feel sad. When you're happy, God is happy, when you are sad, God is sad because he loves you too much. Now that God have done so many great things for us, why not make something for him and make him feel happy? ^_^ and transmit that happiness to others!!!

Oh and yea.. we have problems, but if you never stop praying and having faith you will be fine, and I know that. And as I said before, my personal problems are not someone else's fault and these problems will go away and after all are not so big because no matter what it is, we have in mind that God will never put more weight on us than what we really can carry. Don't worry and be happy ^_^

A very similar question was asked a few days ago. Here was my answer

I'm Mormon/LDS but I'm also very introverted. I don't imagine many of the people I see during the day think "Wow, that guy is happy." I am happy most of the time, I just don't show it.

Anyway, we do tend to be happy, because we focus on happy things. We are taught to spend quality time with our families and friends, read the scriptures daily, pray constantly, and spread the gospel. It's hard to not be happy while doing these things.

We have mostly the same problems that others do (although people outside of the religion don't have to deal with the Mormon attacks). The biggest thing that I can think why we are happy most of the time is our perspective on life and our families

Contrary to some other opinions shared here, mine is a comment from a Mormon. The lifestyle taught and preached by the Church provides sincere and honest happiness in my life. And if you are happy, it shows outwardly. That is my simple answer.

That is a multiple answer question. In part it depends upon where they live. SLC and Utah are suppose to have very high, divorce rates and people on medications such as Prosac. In other parts of the country away from such a heavy Mormon social influence there are some locations where the influence is not as strong the members are not as tightly wound or controlled because their Bishop lives just around the corner. These are the more moderate Mormons who do not adhere as strongly to the "party line". Thus you may find these people have a more pleasant attitude.

Who says they do? I have known a lot of Mormons (I lived in Salt Lake City) and I don't think that Mormons are any different than anyone else.

Our foundation is the promise of everlasting life, when you have that in your heart, its hard to be negative about anything. We have no troubles because they are all HIS and HE deals with them for us, we live simply and honor HIM in all that we do. So we go forth with a smile and a kind word. Its really easy.
