Reading a variety of books and actually THINKING about religion...and not just memorizing what a preacher said

as a result, I'm now an atheist...

Study of several belief systems, including various denominations of Christianity is part of what lead me to choose the religion I now practice.

The other part is feeling drawn to it at a young age even though I fought against that feeling for several years due to someone important to me telling me that I did not want to be categorized as part of a "fringe group"

I was raised Roman Catholic, spent some time with the Mormon faith, studied Taoism and other religions, and am now essentially following my own spiritual path based on these experiences.

I am a Catholic Christian and I found the Living Jesus Christ and his Truth there and great fulfillment ,challenge and consolation. I've looked into others but everything I was looking for I found there in the Catholic fullness of the Christian Faith.

a) My parents are Protestant.
b) Pascal says it's better to believe than not (Pascal's Wager).
c) Protestantism has low costs and great (alleged) benefits.
