SOME REASONS FOR DENIAL
Fear.of death,so its easier to stick ones head in the ground and pretend nothing bad is happening
Loss of profits for big Corporations if they admit that Global Warming is happening ,because then they MUST change things and changes means loss of profits.
Political reasons, because to realize at government level that there will be disasters but to realize also that any government is impotent to be able to save the people ,and that civil unrest and violence will be the result ,is an uncomfortable thought,
Mass displacements of populations in reality are impossible ,Locals in safer places will defend their properties ,and there is no food or water to feed millions on the move .
Religious reasons, because it was not in the bible ,Besides God is supposed to be in charge and is supposed to love his people ,and is supposed to know what he is doing .
To have to accept that God either is Incompetent or does not love his people is difficult for some
Ignorance,it the easiest to understand some people think still that the world is flat or have one foot in the dark ages ,they simply do not realize their behinds are about to be on fire ,and so far nothing has been unusual for them
(although 150.000 people so far die annually due to Global warming ,but obviously not in their street.)

Well first of all, we need to have all the governments on the same page...they all need to strongly believe that global warming is real and that they are willing to do something about it - (remember the Kyoto Protocol? Wouldn't it be nice if all nations joined it?). There is also the problem of staying popular with voters. Although many citizens care deeply about the environment and about global warming, others don't feel that it is a pressing need. They are more worried about more short term issues, like healthcare, job security, education etc. Also, don't forget that the governments are highly influenced by big corporations - these corporations are running the nation's economy - no economy, no nation. The government would not want to bite the hand that feeds them. Many nations will opt for an economy even if it is unsafe for their citizens. I guess they figure they'd be able to provide atleast some services. Also, there is the issue of finance. Technology is very expensive. Researching new technology is also very expensive - not all governments are willing to spend money on implementing the right technology to help global warming when they are dealing with issues of poverty, healthcare, education etc.

In order to fight Global Warming we need to reduce the world wide output of carbon dioxide to less than one tenth of what it is today.
Almost all of the ways that we could do that would shut down all of the world's economies and cause unemployment, misery, and starvation on a level that we have not seen in recorded modern history.
There is one way to effectively fight Global Warming but there is a huge consensus of people against that solution.
The solution is actually a plant that was developed 30 years ago in the Carter administration.
That solution is to build 2,000 nuclear power plants to provide the energy needs of the United States.
That would replace the electricity produced by coal fired and natural gas fired powere plants.
That would also provide enough electricity to power 100 million electric cars.
That would cut the use of fossil fuel in the United States to almost zero, and would not have a negative impact on the economy.
Unfortunately there is a large lobby against nuclear power plants.
The one solution that we have to Global Warming is opposed by activists opposed to nuclear power.
Without 2,000 nuclear power plants in the United States we cannot fight Global Warming.

Because the government doesn't want it to stop (if it is even real). Al Gore says that it's real yet, he's motorcade and personal jets, use more fossil fuels, and release more chemicals into the atmosphere than any 10 households. Not to mention all the talking he does, releases alot of CO2... lol. The government uses Global Warming scares to make the people use less of the products they want to use more of... think about it, we have enough oil in reserves to lower gas prices by 2 dollars for a year (or more)... (if we wanted to, but we (by 'we' I mean 'the government') don't want to, because the supply is higher than they want us to know about, and the demand even higher, so they play on our ecological interests, so they can stock-pile it... In my opinion anyways... I mean how much longer will the President's Cadillac One run, (3 miles to the gallon mind you) if us unimportant people use it all up! LOL

Governments don't care about the people anymore. They only care about getting elected and furthering the agendas of the business and special interest groups that feed their campaigns. Here in America, it's our own fault for electing these corrupt individuals. We always brush aside the honest candidates in favor of those with lots of money and personality appeal. Right now, we have one great candidate in each party, but neither will make it past the primaries.

there is likewise no info that it does not exist. there is not any absolute certainties in technology. that's not infallable. technology under no circumstances PROVES something. It in straight forward terms provides theories. Even the regulation of gravity remains being explored AGW deniers communicate like they're the notice of god, that their technology is a hundred% organic and suitable without infallabilities or blunders. there is a lot extra info that climate substitute and warming exist however. Melting ice, moving seasons etc. and the persons who snigger at it have lots extra to lose than all of us else if human beings wideley familiar the might desire to chop down pollutants and supply up utilising oil or fossil fuels, many companies might lose billions are you able to provide me any smart argument against that besides screaming "liberal eco-fascism!"

I completely agree with you... i'm no tree hugger but i realize when something needs to be done. Think about it in the last 100 or so years (since the industrial revolution... basically two generations) we have seen so much eye popping evidence that we are doing something horrifically wrong... and no one seems to care, that or they dismiss it as skepticism. Since the ice age the top ten warmest years in history have occured over the past 12 years! To me that's crazy! Oil is the leading cause... but our government, society and way of life has made us completely dependent on the stuff! I'd say stop using it... but that is impossible. If say i stoped than i wouldn't be able to get a job except at some local conienient store... no girl would date me... and i'd be stuck in some rural area with absolutely nothing to do. It's a monopoly plain and simple. They haven't given us any other option! Plus there is no effort to make a car "truely" fuel efficient. Don't gimmie that 40mpg bullshit... i know for a fact there is technology that can get easily 100mpg they just won't put it on the market cause oil makes so much money. Al Gore is the only political figure that even seems to care... that is why i truely hope he runs for president. He's the guy that will spear head the movement!! I sincerely hope its not too late.

I agree we should all start lobbying for the building of more nuclear power plants. Which are the only proven technology to significantly cut our output. The problem is that there are all ways trades off and people do not want to accept them.
