I just ask because, in fact, that didn't happen, even though the US lost that war.
Nor was there any "domino effect".
South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia are all prosperous stable democracies.
True, Vietnam had to step in and stop the genocide in Cambodia that was started by the Vietnam war.
But today, even Vietnam is becoming an ally.

And all that happened, despite the US losing the first war in its history. Maybe war isn't everything it's cracked up to be?

Okay... so I've spent about $40 on various cruelty free toothpastes and all of them taste like either NOTHING or like some sort of putrid hand lotion or something! I don't even care if it's vegan... I just want to find one that hasn't been tested on animals and doesn't contain non-vegetarian animal ingredients. I thought that at least ONE of the national brands would not test on animals... but so far I haven't found it. PETA's "compassionate shopper" list says that Oral B currently has a moratorium on testing (they aren't doing it on a temporary basis, hopefully to become permanent), but I've not been able to find ADULT toothpaste from them... just kids stuff (that's like berry flavored, or bubblegum flavored). I just want a normal, mint type toothpaste that actually makes my mouth feel like I just brushed it. Am I on a wild goosechase???

i was in the front room lieing down straight on the floor, i felt warm and bit ill but at same time i wasnt aware that i was ill, i started to drift off slightly and whilse i was awake i felt a kind of push from my chest upwards, which i can still remembr the feeling, pushed from chest upwards to my head when i was suddenly just energy above my body, but at that time never looked at my body but new i left it, i shouted for my mam and on 4th time of shouting my mam got up and i was standing or floating right next to my mam and she could hear me but couldnt see me and was saying where are you hiding. i said i was hiding and went to grab towel, at time i new councessly in dream that if im energy i wouldnt be able to pick it up, but this time i could and the only thing my mam said when she relised i was there was, " see i told you so" now i cant remember what she ment by that comment as that maybe part of the dream i cant remember, and then woke up when i thought of my partner.

Its our 1st year anniversary today...and very upset with my marriage for various reasons. off late i am into depression...or i fel i am getting into depression.
i am so attached to my husband...that its difficult to take any decision on my own.
we have been seeing a marriage counsellor...i'm happy on the day i meet the counselor...then it gets back being bad...
its ok as long as i'm talking to friends and family...it again gets back being bad in just a day...
its like i want to be with my husband...but he does not need me. he says that himself. that for him his mom is all his life.
i am finding this extremely difficult to bear with.
divorce is not an option....no children yet...not planning to have one soon either...
i desire a husband who needs me...but i do not have one.
is this destiny?
i am very confused...

Some details... I don't drink, I don't go to bars... this guy I've been going out with does. I was upfront with him in the first place telling him I don't and he said that was totoally ok with him. Last night, he wanted to get together and said I could meet him... at the bar. I politely just said, nah, I'm just going to chill at home tonight, maybe we can get together tomorrow. He asked if it was b/c he was at the bar, and didn't I know I could just drink water or soda? I said of course I knew that...

I am a preacher's daughter and a church secretary... and I won't go to a bar because I don't want to be a hypocrite or have someone that's struggling with alchohol addiction in my church see me in one... and it hurt them.

So, do you think this is going to be a killer in our relationship? We're both Christians... but I guess we don't see eye to eye on some things.

I keep seeing this "wordplay" where people will say..."the democratic ""HELD"" congress has a lower approval than Bush"... as opposed to just sayig "congress as a WHOLE has a lower approval rating". It's just wordplay.

However, when people are asked about just the democrats in congress.. their approval is 47%, with a 21% margin over republicans.

Preparation

1. Mix thoroughly about 5grams of potassium chlorate with one gram of Mn Dioxide in a watch glass. Transfer the mixture into the ignition/generator tube. Heat the generator tube slowly. Allow few bubbles to escape before collecting oxygen into the test tubes. fill atleast 3 test tubes and cover with cork under water.

Properties
1. Uncork 1 test tube of oxygen and then insert a glowing splint. Observe
2. Place a small amount of S in the deflagrating spoon. ignite sulfur and tilt it into a test tube of oxygen. Take note of the odor of gas produced and add 5ml of water into the test tube. shake and test the sol with blue and red litmus. observe

3. ignite one end of strip Mg Ribbon and drop it into a test tube of oxygen. cool the tube and add 5ml of water. shake the mixture and test it with litmus paper, observe.

I am trying to print an adobe illustrator file that contains .tif images with some transparency in them. Everything looks great on the screen however, when I print the document each of the placed images gets a discolored (I mean the color doesnt match the background) box around it where the tif was cropped.
