He needs to go to the Dr. People with diabetes are at high risk of getting serious infections in the feet, with the potential to loose the foot if not treated properly. He needs to see his doctor.

Just wash it very well and use one of the various liquid bandage products to cover it. Some of them are spray on and others are in a bottle similar to nail polish and you brush it on. When I get small cuts I usually cover them with a Band-Aid but that is an area that is difficult to use a band-aid. If it gets infected and doesn't want to heal then maybe you should take him to the doctor.

Ditto the visit-to-the-doctor advice. It is very, very important for him to be seen. It's quite likely that he will be taught self-care techniques, and be given instructions about how to handle future foot injuries.

But for this first one, a professional consultation is a must.

if he is diabetic go to doctor immeidately he will do that and be judge of that. sometimes you can mess it up make it worse by tryin at home feet for diabetic is very serious
