I was talking to this Christian woman in a bookstore ( who approached me for some reason)- and she asked me if I listened to rock music and she starts bringing up all this supposedly 'satanic' stuff about KISS, Megadeath, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Metallica ect. At the end of her little spiel I had to explain that I didn't listen to any of those groups and she walked away.
I'm just wondering-didn't she know that there were other kinds of rock besides heavy metal, or was she just quoting something that someone had told her?

I know in advance that I am going to get 'lit up' for this. However, this is an etiquette question that plagues people every day. I'd like to get some answers from both sides of the fence on this one.

Is it appropriate for parents to bring their children into all restaurants? Even fancy ones? How about if the children are badly behaved and scream/cry/throw food?

Should other diners be able to complain?

I know a lot of parents think that the whole world is as in love with their children as they are, but don't you think there should be consideration for childless diners, or for fancy restaurants? For example, if you are paying $200 a plate for dinner, shouldn't it be your right to not have a screaming toddler in your ear?

What are some solutions to this problem?

On July 17, 2007, Don McLeroy was appointed by Texas governor Rick Perry (R) to chair the state board of education, succeeding Geraldine Miller. A member of the board for the last eight years, McLeroy was described by the Dallas Morning News (July 18, 2007) as "aligned with social conservative groups known for their strong stands on evolution, sexual abstinence and other heated topics covered in textbooks" and as "[o]ne of four board members who voted against current high school biology books because of their failure to list weaknesses in the theory of evolution."

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, here. Is the objection that the books chosen would include weaknesses in the theory of evolution? And that would be bad...why?
Teaching our children sexual abstinence would be bad...why?
Please help me to understand the objections, here??

What tv show are you just hooked on and hate to miss an episode. I love The Sheild, I hate to miss episodes or it and i try to watch it every sunday but i'm a little behind. lol I use to always watch The Hills on MTV but i kinda quit doing that because I am to busy on Monday nights.

We are still married, but in the process of divorcing. He filed married/ separately for 2006 and someone told me that because I am still legally married to him, I can get a copy of the tax return he filed for 2006 just by knowing his social security number. The reason I even care is that he's working under the table, trying to avoid paying child support, and not responding to any of the divorce papers, making it difficult for me/ my lawyer to proceed with things. Does anyone know how I can obtain access to his tax records? Is it even possible?

is it because of the hatred for the ex, what your best friend might think of you if things do work out even after all the things you told your best friend about your ex or is it just that your best friend cant have what was once yours. why cant your best friend just say if you can make it work with my ex than more power to you. what kills me about bestfriends is they can do almost anything to anyone else, you forgive them and still remain best friends. but if you tell your best friend how you feel about his ex, why if this is your best friend who is supposed to be with you through good times and bad can't execept that your best friend has feelings for the same person at one time you loved, married and had children with. i think i have this i seem to need to be needed and want desperately to help people if i see people trying to do something then i absolutely have to offer to help them i just can not leave them to try to sort it out themselves

if i am in town and there is a special offer for steak or something i have to phone someone to let them know

if someone sneezes i always go up to them and say help yourself to my tissues on my desk if you want some

if they have a head ache i always say help yourself if you wany paracetamol from my bag

is this too nice

i have noticed that people seem to be put off by this sort of thing

why is that do you know

have you heard of this before

is their a name for it
