Yes I am very glad to be me. I wouldn't want to be anybody else. Sure some people have more things than I do especially the things I really want , but I am still glad to be me. I also have things that nonody else has........that I would not trade for anything.
My personality
My life
My family and friends
.......along with a few other things.
It may not seem like much.......of course I've thought about "wearing other shoes" before but then I realize that everyone has their problems to deal with...everyone has hardships no matter who they are...........Rich people , poor people.......it doesn't matter.

I am VERY glad that I am myself I wouldn't want to be anybody else. I am me for a reason I am me for a specific purpose. I am here to LIVE. Everyone has their own life the people who say they want to be somebody else haven't looked at the good aspects of their life and fail to see the defficiencies in other people's lives. They only see the good aspects of other peoeple's lives. They are not looking at the whole thing.

We all have our strengths , we all have our weaknesses , we all have our traits.

Some people may not ne glad to be themselves....because they have not been themselves they have not lived to the edge of their personality ......they have lied to themselves and made their own life miserable.

"It is better to be hated for what you are , than to be loved for what you are not"

If I were asked this question even 20 years ago, I'd say I would love to be in a different body, in a different time, in a different country.

As time went on, I have learned to accept myself now... I don't think of myself as this really ugly person with no reason or excuse to be here.

I then discovered a whole new me when I had children and have recently found peace.

I wouldn't want to do this life over again, but I can no longer imagine being anyone else.

I have a gorgeous immediate family, loving husband, happy, loving, adorable children, and a job I absolutely enjoy.

If it can happen for me, I'm sure it can happen for others.

I am very pleased with the gifts and abilities which were given me, but deeply dissatisfied with the way I have misused them. There is no reason I could not have made a much better life than the one I am living, but I did not do that. I don't see any likelihood that my choices would have been better if I had been someone else, so this life is as good as any other I could have started with.

Hmm. Who would I be if I weren't me? I can't imagine wanting to be anyone else. If I were to think about it, (like, I'd rather be--because...), how would I ever know truly, how that person feels about themselves? I like who I am, I'm content with me, (but not unevolving). There's a cute little poem from long ago that I hope I can remember, & you may enjoy....

I am as I am, with the faults that beset me,
Some I might cure, but my nature won't let me.
I am as I am, & I do as I do,
As I am as I am, & not you being you.
Perhaps I would be, & do better by far,
If I weren't as I am & I were as you are.
But I'm bound to be me, & without any sham,
Make the best of myself
As I am who I am.

I may have missed something, but I think that says it all.

No id rather be someone else , the fact is I cant be myself without doing something wrong, and when i do do something wrong i try to correct it with something right which usually ends me up in a whole lot of crap. Anyone else know what i mean?

Of course I am!!!

If I wasn't me, I wouldn't have the great family and friends that I have right now. I have a job I love, live in a community that I am comfortable with.

I wouldn't trade my place in this world with anyone!

Most of the time I am - Yes
I just would like to see me get out and about more and depression has been holding me back.

Great Question to think about.

Yes... Sure my life isn't all happy happy good good.

But the thing is, neither is anyone elses....

Its alot easier to say, "I want to be that person, that celebrity"

When we base that solely off the idea that there life is better than yours....

Why say that, when you dont know what that person has to go through, what hardships that person has overcome...

I say yes, because when it boils down, WE dont know what THAT person is going/has gone through.

I am very happy to be me! I have no choice in the matter so why not be happy with it! We were made in the image of God! We all should be happy with who we are and try to do our best with what we have.
