If a man's mind was put into a woman's body (assuming the woman's brain is no longer there) It would be a woman... Sex isnt determined by the mind, sexual orientation is however... like it or not.

Any individual's identity comes not simply from their material conditions but also from the social impact of those conditions. As such, "it" would be called a woman by people "it" met. While "it" would feel like a man (and to some respects be a man), "it" would consistently be reminded by other that "it" was a woman. This social pressure is what would construct "it" as woman. "It" would use the women's restroom because of social protocol--and given its urinary tract, standup urinals will not serve "its" needs.

We realize, however, that this is just the social pressure put onto "it." One must be aware that given the "male mind," "it" would not menstrate because "it" would have the wrong hormones being released (too much testosterone, too little estrogen and progesterin). This lymphatic conflict would be quite confusing for the individual. It would probably put "it" in a deep depression and could even lead to suicide (a common "solution" to those like gay men and lesbian women that have similar issues).

For the "men" reading this, you should consider the impact of this if YOUR brain was placed into a woman's body and you had to "prove" to the world you were a man. It would prove quite difficult, given the amount of social conditioning and pressure placed on the superficial element of the body, but I do not think impossible.

If one cannot figure out a way to clearly demonstrate the "male within," then it is a "she." If left to social conditions, "it" is a "she." If judged by its own assertions, then "it" is a "he." I myself think "it" may be left better as an "it" since the he/she distinciton does not even apply to this current format: Ask yourself, is Keith M a "man" or a "woman"? My name and avatar suggest "man," but you have no other information, and created that information, so I could just as easily be a "woman" acting as a "man." You may never know. So, I am simply an "it" too.

The immediate picture I get is frustrated. Nothing works the same physically. And sexual gratification would be elusive because of the long warm-up time women have that men do not share.

I think a woman's brain in a man's body might have an easier time of adapting, at least initially. Later, all those 'how do you REALLY feel' questions could cause a rift in the male bonding process.

A person is not just their brain. They are also their body, their clothes, and their environment including the people around them.

Unless you are completely delusional or in a coma, there is a constant interplay between the inner you generated by your brain and all of the external universe around. There are very few people who could NOT behave differently if suddenly everyone (or even half of everyone) started admiring their backside... or if they suddenly stopped. You can change someone's identity as simply as making them wear a funny hat. It may not be a vast change. But it is not likely to be NO change. Most women understand quite well how a particular outfit can change your whole outlook.

And if your clothes can do this, it seems patently obvious that your body would also, and to an even greater degree.

The person in the brain may still be the same person in many senses. But they will be changed by the changes. As they are changed by every change. So it goes.

Well if it's a man's brain then regardless of the body it will still think like a man. The womans body cells wont attack and change the brain. Most likely he'll be a lesbian.

man's brain into a woman's body? They would still be a man, the same person in their own mind. They would still like women, for instance.
