I have a few friends that have this habbit of pigging out on fatty or sweet foods, than right after going on the treadmill to "walk it off." And honestly, I have to say, they don't seem to be gaining any additional weight. I was also watching a tv show the other day and someone slipped and ate 3 grilled cheese sandwiches, and again, they went on the treadmill to "walk it off." So, yesterday I had a weak moment, because I had bad sweet tooth. I slipped and ate like 4 Rice Crispy treats and glass of Mt. Dew. I also nibbled on some chips. Feeling terribly guilty, I decided to take on this "instant" weight loss approach and went on my excercise bike for 45 minutes. Well this morning, I stepped on the scale and noticed I'd lost 2 lbs! Now, I cannot stand excercising, so I rarely ever do it. So this seemingly "instant" weight loss is like a new found discovery for me. Is shedding a few extra lbs really as easy as simply walking the fat off? Can it really be an overnight thing??
