My mom and I have moved in with her fiance and his brat. He's like a spoiled 5 year old but he's 14. He's constantly messing up stuff on my computer my xbox 360 both that I bought with my money. He steals my money. Last week he got enough money to buy a wii the day after 150 dollars of mine disappeared and I have no way to prove that he took it. Thanks for all your help!

I won't live with my dad. I'm 18 and he's never even tried to meet me.

You should talk to your mom and her fiance about this. Ask them if it's okay to lock your door so that he can't mess with your stuff, and find a safer place for your money. Maybe you can open a checking account (I don't know how old you are), but that would really help.

You step brother is acting out because he doesn't like the way things are and he has no control over it.

It's time to have a sit down with everyone all together and ask for some ground rules.

Stealing is a symptom of someone in need of counseling. Ask your mother for a lock box of some kind, they're not expensive and keep your money in there.

Sadly, if this isn't sorted out soon, it won't get better by itself.

Your mother and her fiance shouldn't be living together before they're married, and certainly shouldn't be forcing their minor children into a stressful situation without any understanding of the impact on them.

Good luck.

I would discuss this situation with my Mother and tell her that you would like to have your private things and your private space. How's chances of getting your own apartment. I think I would prefer doing that about all other things if you are old enough. If you do not establish your own territory, you will have more problems in the future as this 14 year old will think he can get away with more and more. I feel badly for you, because you sound like you have no other alternative except to tolerate his behavor. Are you sure you could not live with your Dad? Think about your privacy and your age.

My My you do have a prob to deal with and seriously you have to act fast.

Ask for a separate corner/ room for yourself and keep that kid out of bounds till he earns your confidence.

Open a bank account for yourself and start labelling your personal belongings.

If everything else fails, start keeping your personal belongings, specially money at your friend's home to save your money and prized possessions.

Tell your mom you want to live with your dad. That will at least get her to listen seriously to you.
