I was at a family party recently when the conversation turned to talking about US currency vs. Canadian and Mexican currency. Then some spoke up that he heard earlier this year that they were talking about creating one form for the entire North American and continent, encompassing the USA, Canada, and Mexico. They also said that this form of currency will take place by 2009. I had not heard this anywhere else and I'm on MSNBC quite a lot. Has anyone else heard this and if so can you provide a link to a news article talking about it?

(Please do NOT tell me to see/ask a doc/nutritionist b/c I would have done so already if I had the $$$ or insurance. Do not tell me to eat more veggies & fruits & whole/fresh foods b/c I already have been doing that for a long time now. Do not tell me to exercise b/c that is a "DUH" & I am doing that now. Also, please don't try to "school me" on my vegan diet such as saying "get plenty of protein & calcium".)

Calories: 1270 to 1580 calories per day, so I am now aiming for 1400 per day instead of 1270 or 1300.

Percentages are as follows:

* (55%) of carbohydrates
* (18%) of fat (12% unsaturated, 6% saturated)
* (27%) of protein

I am:

* Female
* 25 yrs
* 63 inches
* 173.5 pounds
* My goal weight is 125 pounds, I would like to loose 1 to 1.25 pounds per week so I can reach my goal within 8 to 12 months.

~ I am vegan
~ I drink plenty of water

So, is what I have above a *healthy* diet to *aid* me in loosing the amount of weight I want to shed off in the given amount of time? If not, please advise and state percentages like how I wrote above.

Ok people have a question. I have never been on Birth control pills. but want to start noe. So say if I start my period on tuesday (31st) and decide to start taking my birth control pill on sunday(5th) does that mean I would not get my period until Sep 1st (28 days) I know the pack of pills has 21 active pills and 7 inactive pills. are there any chances that could get my periods when I'm on the 7 incative pills(basically the ones with no hormones)...

We are a company that does international sales. Our offices are the most impressive in downtown. We are generous with our employees in terms of bonuses and commissions, we are only open on week days, we have pool rooms, exercize rooms name it. Our team is getting smaller and smaller, we have difficulty recruiting qualified people...what am I overlooking? What's missing that I don't see and would attract people here? My boyfriend just proposed to me and we are starting to think about places to have the ceremony. I would like to get married in the Catholic Church. This is okay with him but he is a Southern Baptist. Does anyone know if the Catholic Church will allow someone who isn't Catholic to get married there? He'd rather not convert. I have tried the salting to leech the bitter juice out, made ratatouille, baked it in tomato sauce, roasted it to make baba ganouche (I liked that) and fried it (I liked that too)...I just can't seem to get the eggplant to turn out the way I want it to...so what are the secrets of eggplant? What did people like Bruce Lee/Dan Gable do for weight lifting, and how often?

I mean I've heard, everyday, every other day.

But what about how many hours do they work on a certain body function? 3 hours, I know it depends on the exercise though but I mean in general.

And, what you think is better, just the good old fashioned body weight exercises or adding a little weight lifting and all.

can you still be hired as a truck driver? Part of the screening asks this question. I was diagnosed almost 5 years ago. Since then have nearly 5 years sober thru a 12 step. I am currently seeking employment as an OTR driver for trucking companies and am wondering will this prevent me from being hired at reputable driving companies. Do i need to go back to a doctor to get my diagnoses straightened out so I can apply? I consider myself better off because I do Not drink, while other undiagnosed drivers DO drink during their time off so i don't think it should be counted against me.
