I really like sci-fi/fantasy, drama, and romance. Looking for something fairly large too.... needs to be at least 600+ pages. Any ideas?

Try the Xenogenesis series by Octavia E. butler. She was a great author and won many awards including the Hugo and Nebula. Your criteria above all fit her books to a tee...

Here is a list of awards she won for her work:

2000: lifetime achievement award in writing from the PEN American Center
1999: Nebula Award for Best Novel - Parable of the Talents
1995: MacArthur Foundation "Genius" Grant
1985: Hugo Award for Best Novelette - Bloodchild
1985: Locus Award for Best Novelette - "Bloodchild"[9]
1985: Science Fiction Chronicle Award for Best Novelette - "Bloodchild"[10]
1984: Nebula Award for Best Novelette - Bloodchild
1984: Hugo Award for Best Short Story - Speech Sounds

Terry Goodkind's sword of truth series is great. It's eleven books long and most of them are 700-1000 pages. Also Michelle Sagara's Cast series is great. The books aren't 600+ pages, but the information and ideas that she deals with make you read slowly to absorb it all, so even if you are normally a fast reader, they will take you a while.

If you like fantasy, there's:
Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling (7)
Eragon by Christopher Paolini (2 now, 1 unwritten),
the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin (pronounced Owen) Colfer(5),
the Children of the Red King (or Charlie Bone) by Jenny Nimo(6),
Fablehaven by Brandon Mull (I didn't like it much, 1+), or Hatching Magic by Ann Downer (just 1)
If you want a romance, just go to the book store and get a few cheap paperback novels, there are a ton of them.
If you want a twist and turn, love, death, and betrayal sort of thing, Shakespeare!
Also Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey is really funny, there's so much immature humor for when you feel five. (too many to count)
And there's this one book you have to read whatever you like, The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau and the sequel, The People of Sparks.
I write a monthly book review for my school news paper. I reviewed all of these books.Hope this helps!

How about "The Deed of Paksenarrion" by Elizabeth Moon? That is a three-in-one volume fantasy story of the highest caliber, written by a former Marine officer, who gives some gritty reality to the tale of a young farm girl who went off to become a mercenary and found a much larger fate. It may be the best fantasy story since "The Lord of the Rings" - of course, that is a personal opinion only.

The first three books in the Xanth series by Piers Anthony (no one of them is that long, but together they are)

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams (again, individual books aren't that long, but it's a GREAT series! Especially the first four books of the trilogy ... )

More sci-fi is the Robot series by Asimov - excellent

Those are the ones that come to mind right away.

I'm going to be reading Stardust by Neil Gaiman after I finish the 7th Potter book. (Stardust is being made into a movie and looks good)
