Ok people have a question. I have never been on Birth control pills. but want to start noe. So say if I start my period on tuesday (31st) and decide to start taking my birth control pill on sunday(5th) does that mean I would not get my period until Sep 1st (28 days) I know the pack of pills has 21 active pills and 7 inactive pills. are there any chances that could get my periods when I'm on the 7 incative pills(basically the ones with no hormones)...

I always start my period on the 2nd or 3rd day of inactive pills. It will probably take awhile for your body to regulate itself after starting them. You could have breakthrough bleeding at anytime through the 3rd pack of pills and if you miss active pills it will cause bleeding too. Also, make sure you use a condom for the first pack of pills as you can still become pregnant.

You might not get yours for a pill pack or two.

When starting BCP's, give it a few months before worrying about it coordinating with your cycle/pills.
