im a muslim, and ive looked at some of these questions on yahoo, and they seem so ignorant, people saying, muslims are bad, and they teach kids to blow up buildings and rape woman.. Are You Kidding Me?? is it me or is there someone out there that also agrees that people shouldnt say ignorant things about religions they dont know... i mean just becuase hitler proclaimed he was christian doesnt mean people go off hating on christianity... on the second note. to let you know i was raised christian.. my mom being one, and my dad being a muslim, so maybe its easier for me to understand, but seriously people, we are all brothers and sisters, christians, jews, muslims, hindu's, buddhist, black, spanish, white, whatever you are, your human just like me.... our DNA is 99.99 % alike... how we look different, and have different believes shouldnt matter.... it also seems that people want to always show off about religion, and act how they are better then someone whos not religious, well is it me o

I want to lose weight, but by doing it right through diet and exercise. However, I am not sure which is better as there seems to be literature stating one of the other as to which way you should eat meals.

So the basic question is, which is better for weight loss: Eat only when hungry (still in moderation) or each several small meals every 2-3 hours?

The problem is I have relatively slow metabolism. I had blood work done it isn't anything medical, just really slow metabolism. I can go several days without being hungry, and faint as a result, without ever feeling the least bit hungry. On the other hand, trying to eat every 2 to 3 hours (even just an apple or something else equally small) makes me sick to my stomach. Anyone with ideas?

Thanks!

For as long as I know, my dream has been to move to NYC and work in magazine publishing. And everything has been going well, except I am confused about life in New York. I've researched it a bit, but I still can't get around the boroughs, the neighborhood.

So some of my questions:

About the boroughs, on your mailing address, would it say "New York City, NY" or "Queens, NY"?

Someone, please tell me about life in the boroughs, and all the "sides" of Manhattan. Upper, East, Midtown, etc etc. It's all so much =) Which ones have better neighborhoods and affordable living? How long does it take from one side to another, from one island to another?

I think my most pressing issue is living conditions and how to wrap my mind around all the "sides" and neighborhoods like, Chelsea, Harlem, etc.

So if anyone could be so great as to help me with my ridiculous problem, please do. I so appreciate it, and thank you very much.

My co-worker who I work very closely with just lost her husband in a tragic accident. I don't plan on attending the funeral because personally I feel that the ceremony is a time for close friends and family of the departed to pay their last respects. Don't get me wrong I do plan on attending any gathering after the funeral, out of moral support of the widow (my co-worker). I mean no disrespect, but I feel that is a very private moment that should only be with close friends and family. Am I being too sensetive about this situation or do I have a valid point?

Is God's ego in that much need of stroking? Theists are funny with their constant chanting that they are not worthy and that God is all great and powerful and a great guy, but please don't squish them like ants, and he is so good looking and great and powerful, and please don't step on us, and can we kiss his butt anymore and we are not worthy, etc. How can anyone allow themselves to do that? That is why I always feel the need to wash my hands after meeting a religious person.

I know that we as muslims are commanded to, for only through questioning can you come to understanding. My faith has been made stronger by questioning it and then finding the answers within it that also made sense. My faith is also strengthened by those who stalk and ridicule, for I know I've touched a nerve and they did not like having to see that they were wrong in their assumptions. Do you question your faith? And has that helped you to better understand it?

A verse in the Qur’an states, “Those who remember Allah…reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth.” The Prophet Muhammad, peace be on him, said, “Seeking knowledge is a duty upon every Muslim.”

When i was sixteen years old i was hanging out in plainfield new jersey, with an old friend of mine named sam, he was eighteen, from a broken home and in a really rough spot in his life. out of frustration, ignorance and greed he decided to rob a local grocery. he was armed with nothing other than an eleven inch buck knife. when the police showed up i ran into the store but the cops knocked me out of the way. sam saw the cops, turned facing them and was told to drop the knife. he began to lean down to drop it, when he quickly spun around and began to run. he made it about three feet when one of the five policemen opened fire. according to the police report, sam was attempting to throw the knife when the cop fired a warning shot that hit him in back. i know the truth, the cop aimed at his legs, missed and shot him in the spine. what radical changes must we make to end these injustices? who will police the police? how will we end this tyrannical police state?

I heard that when I stop or low idle then aux. fans are supposed to come on to cool off the engine not just when A/C is on. Is that true? I have 93 Mercedes 300E. My aux. fans never come on. The reason I'm asking is because my car temp. goes up to ~100^C when @ low idle. When on freeway the temprature drops to ~85^C. Let me know if you think aux. fans could be the problem. My A/C also doesn't work.

Maybe we could suggest to Yahoo that there be sites for the following: Major Religions, Off-beat Religions, Religious Trivia, Spiritual Happenings, Strange Ideas, Religious Bigots, etc. I think I could more easily keep up with a smaller stream of questions and answers. How about you?

Solve the problem.
Two angles are said to be complementary if their sum is 90. If one angle measures (27) / (x) degrees, find the measure of its complement.

( 90 x - 27 ) / ( x)
( 90 x - 63) / (x)
27
63
