Maybe we could suggest to Yahoo that there be sites for the following: Major Religions, Off-beat Religions, Religious Trivia, Spiritual Happenings, Strange Ideas, Religious Bigots, etc. I think I could more easily keep up with a smaller stream of questions and answers. How about you?

Hello,

We have quite a number of sites already from photogaraphy to auto mechanics and religion and spirituality the last being the most popular. I do not thing we really need any more on our plates.

Perhaps if one asks a question like what was the context of Henry VIII's Defence Of The Seven Sacrements or what theological-political differences prompted Calvin to have Michael Servetus burned at the stake you would get less answers than saying will all atheists burn in hell or Roman Catholics worship statues and Mary and are thus pagans. Choose good theological or historical questions rather than blurting out contentious emotional appeals and I'm sure one's questions will drop to half a dozen or so rather than 30 - 50.

Cheers,

Michael Kelly

EDIT - To Lord Elpus - Right you are. Many colleagues and friends say this place is very addictive. Better to learn a little than worry about who gets kicked off what island or dance floor don't you think?

Edit - To Siar, lol you need not be an atheist to get nasty mails. As a Christian I get them from Christians too on occasion.

Things move fast in here. The first thing you learn is to let go. Most questions come up again and again, day after day, month after month anyway, so with time you'll get a chance to answer all the stock questions and maybe a few really clever ones too.

Word of advice: take regular breaks, several weeks at a time. This place is highly addictive.

Great concept, however I think that Yahoo should go to work and break R and S into smaller subsets, such as (for example) Snake Handlers, Santeria, Atheists in Denial, Flying Spaghetti Monster, Mormons Proud and Out!, Aztec, Toltec, Urantia, Voodoo, Reorganized Brothers of Borg, Zulu, Hoodoo, Yoruba, Primitive Catholic, Disabled Gay Frisbatarians, etc etc. Have fun, and I'm sure you will get plenty of good suggestions before your three days are up. Hee hee!

That'd be a nightmare.Imagine all of the trolls.
Just answer the questions that you are interested in.It's not the end of the world if you miss some, but if you really wanted to answer a particular one, just go back a few pages.

or just like anything else in the world, it's a good lesson in choosing and selecting. choose a few questions and answer them thoroughly rather than just shoot off the cuff and flood the web.

For someone who can't cope with the flood, you sure packed a lot of headings into your question.
