I'm giving a Baby Shower for my neice. I want to use the punch bowl I gave to my mom-in-law 20 yrs ago.Before she fell asleep in death, she gave it back to me. She & I left it where she had kept it over the yrs.(1-I was staying @ her house 2-it was of Little importance, as she was losing her fight for life).
I went yesterday to get it, my bro-in-law (lives in her home-his home now) let other family members use it 10 wks., ago for a graduation party. The sis-in-law gave me the bowl & not the cups. I Know if u borrow something from some1, that is who u return it to. She & I Knew Mark(b-i-l) told me, that's how I knew they had it.She said no, the cups are delicate. & It's Mark's. After I told her it's I bought it for her,& She gave it back 2 me,
I want to know how do I handle this. She implied we (the neice, my mom-in-laws Only dghtr, 2 sons & myself) wouldn't take Care of it. I told her I don't want the set split up. Also, her argument of "it's Mark's" Does Not Hold water; see details

I just got a 9 week old Rottweiler. I have an 8 year old Rottie so I know quite a bit about them. My question is this..this puppy has pooped and peed in her crate and then laid in it so we took her out and now let her sleep in our bathroom at night which has been working out lovely. Last night I noticed she was trying to EAT her poop and LICK her pee. That is totally disgusting. I have never heard of an animal doing such a thing...Could this be normal ? I have heard of a dog trying to eat cat poop or something but never her own...

My husband and I are having our wills and a trust set up. The issue of who will take care of our children is a problem. The first choice would be my parents but they are getting up in age and have health issues. My husband's mom is even older, in her mid eighties. The only other person would be my sister . I'm not completely comfortable with that choice because she is not a "kid person". She made the choice years ago not to have children because she said her career was not conductive to having children. She is a believer in "seen but not heard".

She has said that she would take care of the kids and they would be well provided for and well educated (she is a professor at a university) but I still wonder if their emotional needs would be met. Would she get on the floor and play dolls for example?

Has anyone had to make this decision? What did you do?

I have recently rented a property and my boyfriend and I are the ones properly on the lease...The landlord only said she rents to single home families but we cannot afford the rent alone...so we have i guess "sublet" a room to a friend...I am afraid to ask the landlord for approval in fear of eviction. What could i be facing ?? I'm renting in Texas.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have much against big girls.

One of my friends called me to organize a double date. The other girls I've called can't make it. I've somewhat decided to ask this one, rather bigger girl. But you see, this date is laser tag, where you've got to run around and hide and stuff. would a big girl not have as much fun doing those types of things, or would she be fine? I've had my puppy, Jetta, who is an aussie mix at 9 weeks old, for 2 nights and 3 days so far. My mother wants her to be kennel trained but when I put her in it she whines and cries non-stop. I know you're not suppose to give them attention because it shows they can whine and get what they want. (So I've heard...)
I've tried putting her in my room so she can see me but it drives me mad! I also tried the ticking clock thing and it didn't work.
Will she eventually stop whining once she's used to the kennel?

She whines sometimes even when I'm standing right next to her. I've been reading up on dog books and I'm not sure what to do. Is she whining because she misses her brothers and sisters? Do I give her attention even then?

Also, ANY advice on kennel training would be great! Where we bought her from, the previous owner had her sleep in a kennel but it was with her brothers and sisters.
