If you have to ask that here, you are nowhere near ready to be doing ANY breeding, let alone inbreeding.

Only knowledgeable, experienced breeders with a good knowledge of genetics, genetic disease and their dogs' bloodlines should even attempt mother/son or sibling breedings.

If you are asking this question.. Then the answer for you.. is NO.. You don't know enough about dogs, breeding, genetics, your own pedigrees or anything else to do something like this.. Someone who is very educated on genetics and breeding, will do breedings like this, knowing that there could be problems, and they are aware and will be responsible when it comes to whatever the outcome is.. Just a normal guy with a boxer breeding to him to his own sister.. Not at all a good idea..

If you bought a Boxer from a breeder whom is simply leaving it up to you how to breed, then you did not buy from a quality breeder. There are so many con artists breeding Boxers and lying to the public.

A quality breeder will only allow breeding under their direction. And besides, breeding Boxers is expensive and can be heartbreaking.

If you love your Boxer and simply want them to be your buddy for many years to come, spay/neuter them and do not put them at risk.

For the record, you do not breed mother to son or sibling to sibling. Considering you did not even mention Cardiology clearances on your dogs or the ones from this pet breeder you bought them from, you are looking at a huge genetic health question mark. HEART and CANCER are serious issues in Boxers.

Arrrrugh!

That's called In breeding. While you might get away with breeding close relatives you also risk strengthening bad traits or genetic weaknesses and is not a responsible way to breed an animal!

As a general rule. Line breeding is recommended. But always one side of the pedigree is unrelated or not closely related.

No, you're not. If you need to even ask this question you shouldn't be breeding any animal. Breeding to a blood relative is incestious and can multiply the chance of inherited diseases and bad traits.

Purebreds are already inbred to the point of rampant retardation. Don't breed them from family at all. Find another boxer completely unrelated and breed them.

Or, better yet, fix your dog and go rescue one from the pound instead of breeding another litter to be killed off in a couple months when their puppy cuteness wears off.
