This was left behind by a relative that used them professionally, playing in jazz quartets and also playing in several very high end clubs throughout the 40s, 50s and 60s. He was primarily a "brush man".

Even young males growing up in productive homes nowadays with both parents present seem to want to hit the streets. They think that's what being a black man is all about. How do we change that trend?

Many point out the bad parts of the Bible such as killing disobedient children, killing non-believers, killing those who break the Sabbath, etc.

Of course Christians defend their holy book by saying that under the New Covenant we are no longer subject to those parts. That is honestly the BEST NEWS I’ve herd about the Bible. Does that say much for it?

Here is a short summary. There is an Arab school opening in Brooklyn that is supoosed to help reduce the ignorance of the Arab people...or something like that(I gathered this from watching Hannity and Colmes)

But my question is, since they have not made it clear what will be taught there, who will teach, and which books will be used...how will we know what is really going to be done there?

The tax payers will be paying for part of the school...they, according to the interview on Hannity and Colmes, will have a religious board. Isn't that a seperation of church and state?

Also, if they really want to reduce the ignorance of the Arab culture why don't they just offer a course about Middle Eastern culture in public schools already open?

I do not see how letting a hundred students(at max) go to a school dedicated specifically to the Arab culture will help reduce the ignorance.

The word "daraba" used 5 other times in the Quran, and it literally means to leave the area. Separate. Not physically beat up and bruise. This accompanying hadith further proves this. What do you think about this?

"On the Treatment of Women
Narrated Mu'awiyah al-Qushayri: I went to the Apostle of Allah (pbuh) and asked him: "What do you say (command) about our wives?" He replied: "Give them food what you have for yourself, and clothe them by which you clothe yourself, and do not beat them, and do not revile them." (Sunan Abu Dawud: Book 11, Number 2139) "The best of you is one who is best towards his family and I am best towards the family". (At-Tirmithy). "None but a noble man treats women in an honourable manner. And none but an ignoble treats women disgracefully". (At-Tirmithy)"

Ok so we all know that BC goes from whatever number it started from down to zero and then we have AD which goes up. BC means before christ so at zero BC Jesus was probably born, right? and then we have 1 AD and so forth. But my question is why the counting backwards. Did the church change around time so that it wold coincide with Jesus' birth? and if they did, how were years measured before the church screwed up the entire process?

Yes, the war in Iraq can be won. Winning would be helping Iraqis build a stable government that is an ally in the war on terrorism—unlike Saddam's Iraq, which was an enemy in that war. This would be a major victory. It is true that Iraq will be a violent place for many years. But some of the forces that make it violent—radical Islamists and Saddam's Baathist supporters—are sworn enemies of the United States. If we turn our backs on them now, their threat will only grow.

YOUR THOUGHTS?

My DSL provider gave me a DSL modem with a single-port router built in. It also does NAT and DHCP. I'd like to use my Netgear router (that also provides NAT and DHCP, but also has 802.11g). How do I set up my DSL modem/router so that it does not act as a router, but just exposes my Netgear router to the internet and does no routing?

Thank you for any help you can give me on this. I am trying to refi my adjustable mortgage that has gone through the roof and causing a snowball effect on my finances so that I now have a very high debit ratio. I had a FHA refi already to go except the appraiser must have been drunk the day he did it because he messed it up. From small things not marked right and missing to even being off over 300 ft of the sq footage of my house. He not only came in 20% lower than my tax rate but 10% lower than what I owe on the house. Of course this ruined that loan. Since then more bad luck of my new lender getting in trouble with FHA and my file restarted for a 3rd time in as many months. Now my credit score has dropped 150 points from May and I most likely am not getting the refi. This is going to cost me my home not to mention my marriage due to the stress. All this due to a bad appraiser. Do I have any legal recourse on the guy that can not even measure a wall? I live in Illinois.
